I’m known for capturing those didn’t-know-you-were-there shots and busting a move on the dance floor just to get those perfect candids. I also work with you to ensure we incorporate your style and story into your engagement and wedding photos!
Simone and Nico’s Moran State Park wedding on Orcas Island was the perfect blend of adventure, creativity, and pure Pacific Northwest charm. Hosted at Camp Moran, their day had all the cozy summer-camp vibes — surrounded by towering evergreens, salty sea air, and the soft hum of island life.
This wedding was truly a DIY dream come true. Simone crafted nearly every detail herself — from arranging her own altar flowers to baking their wedding cake, sewing the reception flags, and even hand-making the ceramic plates and water pitchers that adorned every table. (Seriously, she’s amazing at pottery!)
The day started with two breathtaking hikes — one out to the cliffs of Obstruction Pass State Park for their emotional first look, and another to the magical Cascade Falls for some epic portraits. The lush forest trails, rocky cliffs, and soft light made it all feel like something out of a storybook.
After their ceremony, Simone and Nico slipped on matching “Just Married” sunglasses and strutted off the stage with the biggest smiles — such a fun moment! The rest of the day was filled with lawn games, delicious food, and a golden-hour dance party by the lake.
You could truly feel their love for the PNW in every moment. Nico was pointing out native trees during our hikes, picking Simone’s favorite wild berries for her, and even spotting tiny wild succulents along the cliffs.
Everything about their Moran State Park wedding felt so natural, joyful, and perfectly them. Between the handmade touches, island breeze, and dreamy sunset light — it was one of those unforgettable days that just felt like magic.
