I’m known for capturing those didn’t-know-you-were-there shots and busting a move on the dance floor just to get those perfect candids. I also work with you to ensure we incorporate your style and story into your engagement and wedding photos!
Andrea and Danny had a super Rainy Artist Point Elopement last fall and it was beyond moody stunning! This day was probably the day with the most rain in all the Artist Point elopements I’ve shot. It was basically a monsoon coming down on us, but that didn’t stop this intimate ceremony from happening. Everyone was so excited to be there, away from Florida (hurricane season) and we had the best time. We started their day out at their cozy cabin- it was a bit dark in there, but that just added to the moodiness that was about to happen up on the mountain! Andrea and Danny wanted to have their first look down the aisle, so they couldn’t see each other in this cabin, and they also drove up separately to keep that surprise. And they sure did! I got Danny in place at the ceremony, and Andrea walked down like an angel towards her man, and Danny was crying SO hard- it was adorable! Everyone ended up crying, their vows were so beautiful and you can tell these two are absolutely totally, madly, and deeply in love with each other.
We then had a group cheers and did portraits all around Picture Lake. Due to the crazy hurricane weather, other spots around Artist Point were indeed socked in with clouds, so we just stayed cozy at Picture Lake and got all the fall moody vibes there. Picture Lake honestly is stunning and has it all- deep green forest vibes, lakeside vibes, mountain views if the weather was not too wild like ours, and more. I even saw a little gray bird that came to watch the ceremony at the dock. It’s so magical there! These guys were total troopers and it was so much fun capturing their stunning elopement up at Artist Point.
Alright this is how the proposal went down: “We actually took a road trip to Vermont to explore the beautiful fall foliage. We went to a mountain resort that had a ski lift to go up to the top by taking a ski lift to see it at its full glory. I didn’t know it at the time, but Daniel had a ring sitting in the car waiting to propose to me, kicking himself in the butt for not bringing it because he thought they wouldn’t let us off to explore. Then he talked me into going again and snuck into the car to get the ring to prose to me before going back up the mountain on a ski lift again.”
And this is what they love to do together: “Honestly we are pretty much home bodies most of the weekend. Love to relax in each others company. Every Wednesday we watch Survivor. But also we like to plan at least week long trips to explore places we haven’t been before. Our next trip is going to be to Iceland for the next eclipse to see it at its full totality.”
So a huge congratulations to Andrea + Danny! You two are stunning and I love how much you love each other! Cheers!
