I’m known for capturing those didn’t-know-you-were-there shots and busting a move on the dance floor just to get those perfect candids. I also work with you to ensure we incorporate your style and story into your engagement and wedding photos!
Meagan and Kyle had a super rainy Seattle Lord of the Rings Elopement surrounded by their close friends and a few family members on the evening of Halloween. Everyone dressed up in a fun costume, but it was Meagan and Kyle that wore Lord of the Rings attire to bring this fairytale elopement the full effect. This was also my first elopement I had the pleasure of officiating, so once we found a little woody spot in these Seattle woods, we had the two pretend like they were getting married for the photos, and then we actually read a beautiful script we made together to get these two officially married. It was so magical and I loved wandering around with these two, getting them to frolic in the ferns, and seeing these two so happy was totally incredible.
It rained on us so bad and we were all super wet. I was dressed as Ted Lasso (Go Richmond!) so we looked like a hilarious group of people, but we didn’t care! These two are married and all is well with the world! I had the pleasure previously of photographing their engagement photos at the Lodge at St. Edwards in Kenmore, WA (which is such a gorgeous wedding venue, restaurant with the best food I’ve ever had, and great scenery!) and so it was such a blast seeing these two cuties again and getting them officially married!
Here are some quotes from their wedding script that they wanted in their ceremony: “And love asks us to become a provider — to give, not out of obligation, but devotion. To be one another’s refuge, the place the other returns to when the world feels heavy. To offer not perfection, but presence. As ‘Alkaline’ reminds us, real love transforms us. It softens what’s sharp, steadies what’s uncertain, and turns what once felt heavy into something we can carry together. Today, Meagan and Kyle stand before us as two souls changed by love — not because it demanded it, but because it inspired it. May your love always be cleansing like the rain, timeless like memory, and alive in the way you continue to grow together.”
Meagan and Kyle love Sleep Token, the band, so they had to add some lyrics to their wedding script!
A huge congratulations to these two!!
