I’m known for capturing those didn’t-know-you-were-there shots and busting a move on the dance floor just to get those perfect candids. I also work with you to ensure we incorporate your style and story into your engagement and wedding photos!
Mac and Trevor had a whimsically romantic Shangri-La On The Green Wedding that took the cake for a gothic fairytale dream. After a decade of living and loving one another, Mac and Trevor solidified their commitment to each other at the ultimate alter. This day was overflowing with love, creativity, art, and magic!
During this Shangri-La On The Green Wedding, Mac and Trevor’s love for one another bled through every ounce of the day, dripping in details. Their gothic, deep red and purple vibes haunted the venue and showed off their style immaculately! The long raw-edge wooden tables were dressed in vintage books, wax dripped candles and floating pages of the most gorgeous literature. Additionally, pops of rich florals draped the deep greens of forest and velvet vintage couches- not to mention, the vintage wedding gown that Mac wore to amplify her love for all things vintage! She brought her gown to life with a spin of her personal touch by complimenting her ensemble with white combat Dr. Martens boot and lace black stockings. She was an absolute emo-goth-pixie fairy picture perfect bombshell!
Alongside the visual aesthetic at this Shangri-La On The Green Wedding, Mac, as a master of her art, brought just that into her vows. The ceremony was so pure, so kind, and so gentle in all the “write” ways. Trevor held Mac so sweetly by her hands as they laughed, cried and joined together as one in front of all of their nearest and dearest friends and family. This intimate destination was filled with all of their loved ones that flew from across the country to witness this gorgeous milestone in their lives. It is a true testimate to who these two humans are at the core, that everyone made sure to be there no matter the distance they had to travel.
However, even with keeping the attendees limited, the electricity and boundless support was not in short supply. Mac’s brother and sister performing a sweet and loving song during speeches brought the entire venue to tears. Thereafter, her father came througth to bring the laughter with his rendition of “The God Father” in which he even brought his own cotton balls to stick in his cheeks to land the act!
Straightaway at the reception, the celebration took it’s emo-centric shift into the night with music, dancing, and bellowing to the greatest millennial favorites! This union was an absolute dream come true, and the celebration was carried on into the following day, where the attendees gathered to bask in Mac and Trevors marriage with a beautiful brunch! I could go on and on, but what I will end with is how blessed I was to be there for these angelic and selfless creatures! I am so excited to see where their lives take them, and all the adventures they have in store!
A little about the couple:
How They Met: We met by Kismet working for the same restaurant group – 2.5k miles apart – meeting by chance on a restaurant opening. Shortly after our first date, we both knew something about this was different. My first visit to Florida was booked 3 weeks after meeting. We dated for 5.5 months long distance, then I moved on Dec 30, 2015, ringing in the new year with a whole new life. Neither of us ever looked back. We celebrate 9 years together in August!
The Proposal: We practically proposed to each other in Arch Cape, amidst the most beautiful sunset we’d ever seen. There was not a soul on the beach, and our playlist scored the scene to perfection. We both we’re in tears, reflecting on the last 7 years, how much love, partnership, and respect, had been built. He popped the question as the sun began to set, without the ring – because it wasn’t needed – to make this moment as real, personal, and meaningful as it was. We then celebrated in secret with my siblings that night (we were on a family vacation), by giving them each a ring pop!
