Ashley + Josh | Elegant Winery + Backyard Wedding | Grandview, WA

Ashley and Josh are married!! They had such an elegant Winery + Backyard wedding day filled with pampas grass, Ashley’s cape-veil, and a custom wooden shot ski that had their favorite engagement session photo on it. Everything was super gorgeous and intimate! These two had to change all their wedding day plans, like many couples in 2020, but they had their ceremony at the Daven Lore Winery in Prosser, WA and then finished their grand day back at Ashley’s parents house in their elegant backyard.

Some details I loved throughout the day was of course Ashley’s cape veil! Instead of having a traditional veil, she opted in having a cape that stuck to her shoulders and it was epic. So fabulous and something I’ve never seen before as a wedding photographer. Another awesome detail was this custom shot ski that a friend made for them. For those who don’t know what a shot ski is, it’s this long ski-long wooden board you have two holes in it to put shot glasses in it to take a shot with multiple friends. So Ashley and Josh had a friend made a custom wooden ski that had their favorite engagement photo from Gold Creek on it. SO cool to see my photo on a shot ski!!

Ashley and Josh met with their beloved and recently passed puppy, Chino. Chino walked up to Ashley and she began petting him and then realized she needed to ask Josh if it was okay to pet him, and that’s when the two locked eyes and started talking. Chino just passed last week, so this week has been really hard for Ashley and Josh with loosing their baby, but he was there in spirit with thoughts and stories about him, Josh’s socks had Chino’s face on them, and we all just had the same thought that Chino chose Ashley for Josh to be with. Okay, brb crying!!!

So many emotions and great stories told by all! Wonderful people, a wonderful couple, and an awesome wedding day! The smoke cleared, the skies opened up, and Ashley and Josh are officially married!!
