I’m known for capturing those didn’t-know-you-were-there shots and busting a move on the dance floor just to get those perfect candids. I also work with you to ensure we incorporate your style and story into your engagement and wedding photos!
A first look on a street corner, dancing in Pioneer Square, and a blue-hour Valentines Day elopement at the Seattle courthouse downtown. WHAT COULD BE MORE ROMANTIC AND AWESOME?
Marissa and David are officially married and all is right with the world. These two eloped at the Municipal Court of Seattle surrounded by their family and close friends. With no more than 10 guests, these two exchanged their intimate vows up in the courthouse penthouse overlooking the beautiful downtown city of Seattle during blue hour.
We started their perfect elopement day at Hotel Max for getting ready photos, had their romantic first look on the corner of the hotel and it looked incredible, then wondered over into Pioneer Square for their bridal portraits (got some wedding drone photos, too, y’all)! They ended their magical day at the Seattle courthouse for their intimate ceremony.
This is how these two unbelievably gorgeous people met: “I (Marissa) was visiting a friend of mine from college in her hometown and she asked if I wanted to go to her friend’s party. That friend happened to be David. He approached me and we ended up talking most of the night. He got my number that night and we ended up texting and calling each other nonstop until we finally made it official.”
This is how he popped the question: “We are originally from Pennsylvania and in September of 2018, we were home visiting because he was in his friend’s wedding one weekend, and I was in my friend’s wedding the next weekend. On September 12th in the middle of that week we visited my 102 year old grandmother, who had a large part in raising me and meant the world to me. I always said I didn’t mind if David asked my parents for permission, because we aren’t that close, but I wanted my grandma to approve. While visiting she asked the same thing she always did…”so when are you guys getting married?” to which David asked if he had her permission to ask and she said OF COURSE and then he got down on one knee and purposed with a beautiful ring. Super emotional moment. It’s especially special now because she passed away on November 18, 2019.”
When asked what is their favorite thing about being together: “David loves that I push him out of his comfort zone and I love that David provides me stability. We balance each other out in that way. He was never into traveling or trying new things until we got together. I was always kind of all over the place until we got together and now I have a sense of peace. Together we are just a very laid-back and down to earth couple.”
These two are so so so sweet and it was such an honor being their elopement photographer in the beautiful downtown Seattle on Valentines day. Check out their elopement goodness right here.
