It’s no secret that wedding decor and buying decorations to make your wedding day look like everything you dreamed of- is mega expensive. But there are ways to making your day perfect without going over budget. This week, we’re talking about how to use Black Friday shopping for your wedding decor!

First way is obviously Amazon. Whether it’s looking for some fairy lights to go in mason jars, extra tulle, or even gifts for people helping with the wedding, Amazon has you covered. Did you know you can actually buy gift cards and special cards on there too? I got my Bridal Shower thank you cards on there, thank you cards for my vendors, and oh so much more. If you are engaged during Black Friday, I strongly encourage you to hop over to Amazon, and look for anything you might need to decorate your wedding day. Keep in mind centerpieces, extra ribbon, lanterns, wood planks, glasses for toasts, anything! Last year, they had an amazing sale on fairy lights and we used them in our ceremony lanterns up at the altar. You never know what you will find on there!

Second place: Etsy, duh. I used Etsy for ALL my personalized wedding gifts. For our best man’s gift, maid of honor gift, mother-in-law gift, etc. Small businesses on there love Black Friday and you can get some really good deals on customized mugs, socks, messages for jewelry, etc. I personally love purchasing things from small businesses and Etsy always has something you’re looking for.

Third is for Black Friday/ Small Business Saturday. A lot of small businesses will have special offers on not only Black Friday, but also Small Business Saturday (the next day). Many local wedding photographers, florists, and videographers offer discounts if you book within a certain timeframe or on that day itself. So be sure to search the web at your favorite vendors or at professionals you were thinking of hiring for your big day and see what offers they might have in store.

Fourth place is Hobby Lobby. Besides finding great deals online, Hobby Lobby has seriously some of the best priced, and adorable wedding decorations in the industry. They have really stepped up their game with this, guys! They have everything from ribbon, mason jars, wedding arches, veils, flower girl baskets, cake cutting sets, cake platters, to even street signs saying “wedding this way”. I couldn’t tell you how many times we went to Hobby Lobby while planning our wedding. And the great part is, they always have sales! If you download their app, there is a discount everyday for one regularly priced item. You can also see their daily/ monthly sales on the app as well. It’s seriously the bomb and you can find what you’re looking for there- without a doubt! If you’re DIY-ing your wedding, you can’t go wrong with a trip to Hobby Lobby.

Finally, the fifth way to use Black Friday for your wedding decorating is for your bridal shop needs. David’s Bridal has great deals on Black Friday for slips, accessories, skirts, shoes, wedding sleep attire, underwear, and so much more. It can get pretty overwhelming with everything you need to think about to bring everything together with your dress, but most bridal shops will have discounts and sales on your wedding dress needs. Even for men, if you’ve been eyeing those oxford shoes for your groom, check out local shoe shops! Payless, DSW Shoe store, Fred Meyer even, all great places to find excellent shoes and mens attire on sale.
BAM! There are your 5 days to use Black Friday for your wedding decorations! If you have a long engagement like we did, we had plenty of time to write down what we were looking for at our wedding and what kinds of signs, style, and vibe we wanted to achieve; which made it easier to know what to look for when all the sales came up.
