I’m known for capturing those didn’t-know-you-were-there shots and busting a move on the dance floor just to get those perfect candids. I also work with you to ensure we incorporate your style and story into your engagement and wedding photos!
Sara + Carissa got married at the most elegant backyard wedding in Pasco, WA last weekend and it was awesome! They exchange their vows under a beautiful willow tree and we definitely chased that sunset for some bridal portraits. Every detail surrounding their day was beautiful and oh so elegant. From the blown up canvases from their engagement session photos, greenery wreaths above their party tents, the 4-tiered cake, and their awesome wedding outfits ( a jumpsuit and a ball gown… YAY!), it all was so gorgeous and uniquely theirs.
All their friends and family were so happy and emotional for these two beautiful ladies. And their puppy nacho was always trying to cuddle on Sara’s ballgown skirt. I tell ya, I was just telling my husband how much I’d love to photograph a bride in a jumpsuit and guess what… Carissa totally pulled it off and looked so stunning in her satin jumpsuit!
So this is how their proposal went down: “Well I (Sara) came home from work around 9:30pm to Carissa waiting for me inside, Anniversary by Tony! Toni! Tone! was playing (it was our 3 month anniversary) and she had made me a few chocolate covered strawberries and wrote out the words ‘I Love You’ on the plate. She told me that she was going to draw me a bath, IDK why but I was saying I didn’t want a bath, which is strange because I love taking baths. She had a rose scented black bathbomb custom made for me and I kept saying we should save it but she insisted and I gave in, which is good because my ring was inside the bathbomb! I didn’t know there was a ring floating around in the tub with me and had opened the drain to let out some water, which Carissa will still to this day never let me forget that I almost let it go down the drain!”
I loved seeing all their friends gather and busting the sweetest dance moves! Carissa and Sara are so wonderful and so rad that their wedding day totally reflected that. You can’t beat those Pasco sunsets though! We were constantly watching for moments when the sun was going down to run away from the reception to go take more photos- it was such a blast and oh so gorgeous! I even tried my hand at overlaying their wedding night sky, the stars, over a silhouette image- let me know what you guys think!
All in all, such a great backyard wedding! All the details and their love for each other were stunning and beautiful. I hope you enjoy their elegant backyard wedding below:
