I’m known for capturing those didn’t-know-you-were-there shots and busting a move on the dance floor just to get those perfect candids. I also work with you to ensure we incorporate your style and story into your engagement and wedding photos!
Allison and Justin had such a beautiful Belle Chapel Elopement this past weekend! With rain down pouring throughout the day, these two had such a darling and intimate elopement. The Belle Chapel is nothing sort of adorable with a vintage style chapel and beautiful light shining in throughout.
Allison and Justin were originally planning to have a lot of guests attend their wedding at the Belle Chapel, but due to the pandemic, many of their guests were unable to join. Instead, they live streamed their ceremony and only had their immediate family and wedding party present with them on stage. They plan to have a larger party once restrictions are lifted later this fall.
They started their wedding day off with their very intimate ceremony in the chapel, a lot of great and fun wedding party photos, and then the two wanted a moment alone to look at their guests’ photos that were hung up in the lower part of the chapel, and then had their first dance alone in the chapel together. Since their guests were unable to attend physically, it was a surprise to hang up all their photos up for the couple to look at before heading up to the altar to get married. One of my favorite details was Allison’s wedding shoes. Her dad had recently passed away and so to have him walk her down the aisle, she had little photo pendants of her father attached to her blue wedding heels. So special and now I’m getting all emotional!
Overall, these two had a gorgeous little chapel ceremony surrounded by their awesome friends and then had a mini reception at the maid of honors home afterwards. Who said a pandemic has to stop you from getting married?! They wanted to keep their wedding day the same as much as possible because they just wanted to be married to each other so badly and begin their lives together. No pandemic can stop their love.
This is how the proposal went down: “A complete surprise in my best friend’s living room! Justin drew a whole book of illustrations about all the things he loved about our relationship and then the last page popped the question!”
When asked what their favorite part about being together is, they answered: “Do we have to pick just one? Lol We both really appreciate having a partner in the faith and having someone call us higher and deeper in our relationship with God.”
