I’m known for capturing those didn’t-know-you-were-there shots and busting a move on the dance floor just to get those perfect candids. I also work with you to ensure we incorporate your style and story into your engagement and wedding photos!
Kristine and Jon had a beautiful Bella Fiori Gardens wedding in Kennewick, WA. Now, this was the weekend where NASA issued a winter weather advisory, so we got plenty of that cold winter breeze throughout the whole wedding day- but that didn’t stop us. Kristine and Jon are so adorable, and having their sisters as their wedding party, was so awesome! Some of Jon’s groomsmen, or as they called it “groomsbitches” were his two sisters and they were dressed up in rad suits. So cool!
These two had such an intimate and cozy wedding day in the gardens and everyone there just had mad love for this awesome couple. Rain or shine, these two were gonna get married- and they did in style. With their plumb gowns, bright florals, a stingray grooms cake, a cozy barn for the reception, and plenty of waterworks at the ceremony, Kristine and Jon are married and you can just tell how much they absolutely love each other. I kept catching Jon looking at Kristine during portraits just in awe at her beauty. So excited for their future together!
So get this, this is how their proposal went down from the eyes of Kristine: “That day was one of the most stressful days I had had in a long time. Nothing seemed to be going right. It was the day before we were leaving for a week long trip to San Diego with his family and had to drive to Seattle, where we were flying out of. I was supposed to have the day off work, but got called in so we ended up leaving 4 hours late. I was pretty pissed. Then we hit traffic. I was more pissed. We were going to meet my sisters for dinner, and I thought we were going to be too late, even more frustrated. We finally get to Tacoma, and my car starts freaking out (turns out the whole computer system died)…mind you this is a Sunday night and we were flying out of Seattle early the next morning. We end up in the area where we were going to meet my sisters and they text me to let me know that they’re also running late, so Jon suggested we get out of the car and walk around by the waterfront in Ruston to stretch and relax a little bit. We were walking through a parking lot on our way to the water and I see my sister hiding behind a truck…Jon goes in to panic mode and makes up some excuse to go look at the water while sara went elsewhere. Because of the stress of the day, I was still completely oblivious. We went down by the water and he told me that it was “right about here” on one of our trips to the west side that he decided he was going to marry me. He got down on one knee, and out of pure shock, I called him an ass hole. He asked if I would marry him and I said of course (and apologized for calling him a name). My sisters and nephew were “hiding” taking pictures. To this day, it still feels surreal sometimes.”
Walking back down the aisle after being pronounced as man and wife, Kristine whispered to Jon “We just got married!!” Both are just so incredibly happy!!
