I’m known for capturing those didn’t-know-you-were-there shots and busting a move on the dance floor just to get those perfect candids. I also work with you to ensure we incorporate your style and story into your engagement and wedding photos!
Rachel and Phil had a stunning Camano Island intimate elopement at a cozy AirBnB with their closest friends and family over the weekend! These two wanted an elopement all their own and on their own terms and everything turned out gorgeous and oh so fun! They basically had a 20-person slumber party with friends from all over the states and it was really cool to see everyone having a great time celebrating these two cuties. Rachel and Phil decided to get ready together and it was beyond adorable for the two of them.
Helping each other get ready was so sweet and tender, I always love it when couples want to get each other ready for their wedding day- it’s too cute! We then popped some champagne on the deck, got some portraits done, said hello to a giant slug we found in the grass, and then got married on the lawn of the AirBnB. After tying the knot, we adventured to a local beach trailhead for some bridal portraits before the sun went down, then hurried back to the cabin for Thai food, a choreographed gorgeous swing dance on the lawn before jumping into the hot tub with Rachel’s CAPE! It was so gorgeous and I will forever recommend wearing a cape into your hot tub together- it was so magical and also hilarious when the bubbles started to ripple up the cape in the water haha Some of my favorite shots!
Okay so this is how they met each other: “Phil and Rachel met Rachel’s first weekend of college. Phil was a mentor at the freshman engineering camp and Rachel thought he was a creeper who followed her around (when in reality he was really tending the campfires). We didn’t talk or hang out all that much for the first two years after we met, but Rachel’s junior year of college and Phil’s senior year of college, Phil started giving Rachel advices on classes and homework after Rachel started hanging out in the engineering center that he worked in. He would also occasionally bring her coffee spiked with Baileys, despite the fact that she doesn’t drink coffee. After another two years, we both graduated and started working for the same company. A year into us working together, we finally figured it out and started dating (five years into the friendship at this point)!”
And this is what they like to do together: “Hanging out with our puppies and kitties. Hiking, backpacking, camping, road trips. Reading and white water rafting. Bicycles and rock climbing (indoor only please!). I guess adventure? Adventure! Finding new creative hobbies (remind us to show you Phil’s giant knitted dinosaur pillow that he made). Video games, mostly ones we can play on the couch together.”
Umm Yeah, I’m going to have to see that giant knitted dinosaur pillow! haha
Overall, their day was so cozy, romantic, and exactly what they wanted together! So excited for these two and their future together! Congrats to Rachel + Phil!
