Ali and Bryan’s wedding day was one for the books—literally the hottest day of the summer in Poulsbo, WA! Even with record-breaking heat, their celebration at Courter County Farm was absolutely magical. Luckily, the towering trees around the property gave us plenty of shade, and with a little breeze, everyone was able to enjoy the day in comfort.

The couple shared a sweet and intimate first look before the ceremony, and we spent time capturing family and wedding party photos with their newest (and most adorable) family member—Koda the puppy. Honestly, Koda stole the show! One of my favorite shots of the entire day is of him nestled in the flowers, and I swear he deserves his very own blog post.

Ali and Bryan filled their day with personal touches that made everything feel like them. Ali is a huge Taylor Swift fan, so the evening wouldn’t have been complete without plenty of Swift songs on the playlist. Their officiant even hid some Taylor lyrics inside the ceremony speech, which had everyone smiling and laughing. The farm also created their bouquets, which gave us an excuse to play around in the wildflower fields before and after the ceremony—such a dreamy detail that perfectly fit the warm summer day.

What I love most about Ali and Bryan is how genuine and fun they are. At one point during the reception, Ali and I just sat down together to cool off and laugh about the day—it felt less like I was photographing clients and more like celebrating with friends. After all, we had already shared adventures last fall at Smith Rock in Bend, OR, and getting to be part of their wedding day was the best continuation of their story.

Ali and Bryan’s Courter County Farm wedding was such a beautiful reflection of their love, their personalities, and their community. If you’re planning your own Seattle wedding, this day is proof that even the hottest summer weather can’t compete with the joy of celebrating with your favorite people (and pups!).
