I’m known for capturing those didn’t-know-you-were-there shots and busting a move on the dance floor just to get those perfect candids. I also work with you to ensure we incorporate your style and story into your engagement and wedding photos!
Courtney and Josh had a stunning Sadie lake Events wedding complete with fall cozy colors, great lighting, and drone shots in a boat. Yup! Let’s get into it!
These two are so beyond gorgeous and it was such a blast being their wedding photographer. They had a pretty intimate wedding day out in the beautiful Sadie Lake Events wedding venue in Arlington, WA and it was all surrounded by great friends, epic dance moves, and so much more. This was my first time shooting at Sadie Lake and it did not disappoint! The lighting in the bridal suite was amazing, the lighting on the dock, everything was so picturesque and such a great overall wedding venue. It really is the country wedding venue of your dreams- as it says on their website!
Courtney looked absolutely gorgeous in her gown with her long train, and Josh could not get enough of her. These two together are such knockouts and it was so fun seeing their faces light up at their first look. They had a simple and gorgeous wedding ceremony in front of the lake, a fun tent reception, and dancing into the night. They kept it all simple, but so elegant out in the country. We even got some amazing drone shots during golden hour portraits while they were in the little boat. So much fun!!
Okay, so this is how these two beautiful people met: “Our story begins on a summers eve in June of 2018. Josh invited Courtney out on the Puget Sound in Clay’s ski boat for a sunset date. Courtney’s friends and sister all cautioned her against going for fear that she would be thrown overboard. But alas, she persisted, being comforted by the fact that another couple would be aboard. Josh’s date idea was one of his smoother moments, he likes to tout. However, this was quickly overshadowed by his attempt to impress Courtney by wakeboarding across the Sound from Kingston to Edmonds. Much to his dismay, he caught a bad wave sending him into the waiting tentacles of a jelly fish. Courtney rushed to his side to comfort him and from that moment on, he knew that their bond was unbreakable.”
And this is how the proposal went down: “We had a weekend getaway to Ocean Shores. He picked up the ring the night before and put it in his truck. We got there and our hotel wasn’t ready so we went to the beach. I was sitting on the tailgate of his truck and Sierra, our dog, jumped in the car. She got sand all over the seats, so I thought he was going over to clean the seats off. He came back and had the ring box and I said “are you serious?!” He got down on one knee and I was crying my eyes out and he was like “is that a yes?” and I said yes!”
Too freaken, amazing!! I’m so excited to share this one with you guys!! Enjoy and a huge congrats to Courtney and Josh!!
