I’m known for capturing those didn’t-know-you-were-there shots and busting a move on the dance floor just to get those perfect candids. I also work with you to ensure we incorporate your style and story into your engagement and wedding photos!
Holly and Sam had their awesome engagement session over at Deception Pass in Anacortes, WA and it was the perfect overcast day. We adventured all around the bridge area and went down to the beach, too! These two are so adorable and love to snuggle together.
Holly writes: “Sam and I met on Tinder actually, and really bonded through gaming, watching movies, and talking about the books we were reading. We moved in together about a year after we met and then Sam proposed a year after that on a trip to the Grand Canyon!”
These two love playing video games together so to make their engagement session feel more like a date and ‘in their natural attire’ they both wore their Zelda shirts to make their photos feel like their own. So awesome! I always encourage my couples to do something that makes their session feel like a date and uniquely their own. You don’t have to dress up and look like people you’ve never met before just to make the photos look ‘good’, you just need to be yourself and wear something you’re comfortable in. Bring some popcorn to have a popcorn fight together, or matching football jerseys because you both love watching games together; anything that share more about you and your personalities.
Anyway, the Deception Pass bridge was amazing and gorgeous! Super packed with people on a Friday afternoon, but it was still wonderful and the beach was so pretty. Just a heads up, if you do visit the bridge, there is a little parking lot you can park at up at the top, but you need a Discovery Pass or you can pay for a day pass there. We went down to the PNW Trail Beach access parking lot and had a nice bathroom there, and a perfect little walk onto the beach to overlook the bridge perfectly.
I am so excited for their wedding in Orcas Island this September and am stoked to share with you their engagement session here:
