I’m known for capturing those didn’t-know-you-were-there shots and busting a move on the dance floor just to get those perfect candids. I also work with you to ensure we incorporate your style and story into your engagement and wedding photos!
Lizzie and Blake had such an amazing Swiftwater Cellars wedding day out in the stunning and still snowy Cle Elum, WA. With only 50 of their closest friends and family, these two stunning people got married and had an absolute blast celebrating it all! Lizzie and Blake originally had their wedding of 200 people booked for last fall, but with the pandemic, they have had to change things around completely. Even though they had a smaller guest list, two separate venues, and not their original idea of their wedding day, they still had a magical and stunning wedding day at Swiftwater Cellars.
We started their day out at Blake’s family home at Suncadia and then moved to Swiftwater for their first look, portraits, ceremony, and dinner. After all the fun, we then moved the party back to Blake’s family home for more dancing and cake cutting. Before leaving Swiftwater, we did a gorgeous sparkler send off and the smiles on Lizzie and Blake’s faces were just glowing! These two were so in love with their wedding day just the way it was: absolutely perfect. When we were chatting about their ‘Plan B’ for their wedding, Lizzie mentioned how the people that are still invited, are the closest people to their hearts and best represents their tribe. Their friends and family are their heart and it was so amazing to see them both so happy together and with their tribe.
Lizzie and Blake actually met on Bumble and Blake ghosted her for the longest time until they connected and started dating. They met, started talking, and even later on exchanged their first ‘I love you’ to each other at Swiftwater. Naturally, we had their awesome engagement session at Swiftwater and now finally their wedding day.
This is how their proposal went down: “The first year we were dating, we went to his company Christmas party at Swiftwater- which makes our wedding location all the more special- and were singing and dancing to a cover band playing Tennessee Whiskey. Blake said something charming like “tonight is the best night and it’s just getting better!” I said “what do you mean!” and he told me he loved me for the first time. The next Christmas party was held in Seattle at MoPOP! We had the opportunity to stay at the Edgewater Hotel. So I got home from work and was rushing around like crazy to get ready, pack, and get out the door. Looking back, I remember coming out to check with Blake on something and he was sitting on the couch, half dressed, drinking a beer staring at the TV that was not on. I thought how weird, but probably just wants to get to the party. We Uber down to the Edgewater, get checked into our room. I am finishing getting ready. Blake grabs me to check out the view and says, “last year, I told you I loved you for the first time, how about this year we make it forever?!” got down on one knee and asked “will you marry me?” I had the quickest YES ever, we Face-timed my family, and then RAN to the Christmas party to celebrate with his family in person. BEST. DAY. EVER.”
When asked what their favorite part about being together is: “Our favorite part about being together is we fill in the gaps for each other. We help each other without needing to ask, we can anticipate needs before they’re a need, and we make life easy on each other. We are always laughing and singing and dancing around the house and life is just fun.”
So amazing, precious, and stunning!! These two are so awesome and I’ve absolutely loved being their engagement and wedding photographer. These two are so fun and I can’t wait to hang out again with them! I’m so stoked to share with you all their wedding day gallery below. Congratulations to Lizzie + Blake!! WOOHOO!

Also, check out this beyond sweet review Lizzie + Blake gave:
“There are not enough words to adequately describe our experience with Sarah Jane. She delivered on every level above and beyond what she said she would throughout our entire wedding experience from engagement shoot, to another engagement shoot to make me feel better about postponing, and all the way through to the last minute she was with us at our reception. Her energy and support for us as a couple made me feel like we were working with someone we had known for years. She is just as excited for your event as you are and has so many amazing ideas on how to capture the day. All the tips and tricks she shares on her website and how to prep and prepare made us so much more relaxed on the actual wedding day. I was never worried there was a photo opportunity missed or that something wasn’t going to happen. She was there for EVERYTHING.
Our wedding began to feel like a moving target as so many restrictions were shifting right before us, and she had checked in with me at one point and simply asked if I wanted to chat on the phone about details. We spent over an hour talking about the timeline, talking out details, and really envisioning how the day will go under plan A, plan B, and plan C. I was crying happy tears when I got off the phone because she was so understanding and accommodating for what we were going through with COVID restrictions and trying to make a beautiful day happen. She is worth every penny! Our wedding was a couple hour drive for her, she worked her butt off at the event, drove home, and took her dog to the emergency vet that night, and STILL got us an unreal sneak peek the next night. How she did all this, I will never know. She is the energizer bunny, she’s beauty and she’s grace, I will be using her for all photos in the future. I could literally write about her all day long, but I need to go look at our gallery for the 19283923084 time. Can’t get enough!”
