I’m known for capturing those didn’t-know-you-were-there shots and busting a move on the dance floor just to get those perfect candids. I also work with you to ensure we incorporate your style and story into your engagement and wedding photos!
Emily + Arthur had a stunning summer Mt. Rainier Elopement over on the Paradise side of the National Park with their closest friends and family members. These two are so cute and they wanted to bring in a little country into their wedding day so they incorporated some cowboy hat wearing, a little twang in their voices, and a cute little guitar serenading at sunset. Arthur is a talented guitar player so I encouraged him to bring his guitar along and we can have a little mountaintop serenade for his new bride. It was SO darling and we did the same thing at their engagement session last year so it just tied in both sessions together beautifully.
We started their day at this cute little cabin in Packwood, WA and then ran up to the Paradise side of the mountain for their ceremony at the Nisqually Vista Loop. I love this spot at Paradise for ceremonies because it’s so quiet, peaceful, we saw deer, and there’s an incredible view of the queen of Washington herself. When they were originally scouting this spot on the mountain for their ceremony, Arthur kicked his heels with joy when they decided this was the spot they wanted to get married at, so of course, we had to re-create that moment with his groomsmen and they all skipped around the trail! It was hilarious and adorable!
Emily and Arthur then popped champagne at sunset, played with lanterns, and went back down the mountain for a private and quick celebration with family before heading to bed! These two are so sweet together, so in love, it was hard to put my camera down. It was such an honor capturing it all for them and I wish them all the happiness in the world!
Alright so this is how they met: “I have been a family friend of Arthur’s family for many years. He was already out of the house when I became friends with his younger siblings. He came up to to visit and I just happened to be around. We all went to trivia together and we hit it off from there! (with a little encouragement from his sister.. 🙂 )” And this is how the proposal went down: “The last week before we moved in together, Arthur proposed to me out on the back deck of the place I was living at the time. We spent a lot of time out there sharing meals and getting to know each other better while we were dating! He also had the ring in a frog shaped ring holder. It was great!”
A huge congrats to these two love birds! Cheers!
