I’m known for capturing those didn’t-know-you-were-there shots and busting a move on the dance floor just to get those perfect candids. I also work with you to ensure we incorporate your style and story into your engagement and wedding photos!
Jacie and Nate had an epic, joining of the forces at their Mukilteo Star Wars Wedding on May 4th at the Rose Hill Community Center in Mukilteo, Washington. After 4 years together, and one spontaneous European New Years Eve proposal in the Béarnaise Alps, these two did not disappoint on their big day! Every ounce of their playful personalities came to light amongst each glimmering detail of the ceremony and reception. This Mukilteo Star Wars Wedding ceremony had every intention of being experienced in the gorgeous outdoors. However, as a result of the weather, the Rose Hill Community Center made a flawless shift to hosting the union indoors! The venue’s floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Lake Union, illustrated the beauty of the outdoor aesthetic with all the comfort and rain-free offerings of being inside.
Jacie looked gorgeous in her gown, and we were able to find a part in the clouds to wander out for some breathtaking shots. We adventured down to the Mukilteo Lighthouse for portraits and some sweet kisses covered by the classic clear umbrellas. We were even lucky enough to be greeted by some seagulls flying over us with a little help of the wonderful groomsmen! Furthermore, Jacie and Nate meandered amungst the pebbled beach for some playful “dips and kisses” only to be met by ferries passing in the distance! It was a moment straight out of a magazine! We couldn’t have wished for better props to appear.
Following the ceremony of this Mukilteo Star Wars Wedding, these two Jedi love birds rocked the night away with their friends and family in a true-blue Star Wars wedding fashion. They met on the dance floor for a duel of forces with their very own light sabers! The whole dance floor busted out their light sabers to make this love battle a full wedding affair! However, the groom brought the house down in his speech during the reception. Nate spoke about their first date, in addition to giving out their new address to everyone there. The couple wanted all of their guest in attendance to know that as their friends and family, they are their “core tribe,” and are welcome in their home any time. It was such a beautiful moment to be witness to.
Jacie and Nate made their Mukilteo Star Wars Wedding a fantasy brought to life!
Here is how these two Jedi lovers got engaged: “We abandoned (haha) our families and took Christmas vacation to France, Italy and Switzerland. On New Years eve, we climbed to the top of Schilthorn (10,000ft) in the Bernese Alps using almost all forms of transportation…. Nate was scoping the most “photographer” looking person of the few people there and offered to take a photo of him (random person) on the lookout. Nate took is picture and asked for him to reciprocate with the two of us and he asked me to marry him. I said yes!”
