I’m known for capturing those didn’t-know-you-were-there shots and busting a move on the dance floor just to get those perfect candids. I also work with you to ensure we incorporate your style and story into your engagement and wedding photos!
Evelyn and Robbie had a fabulous and elegant Olympic Rooftop Pavilion Wedding in downtown Ballard, WA! Surrounded by all their friends and family, these two cuties had an amazing wedding day up on the rooftop overlooking Seattle and it was all so glamourous. At Hotel Ballard, these two got ready in these cool and moody hotel rooms, Evelyn looked like she came straight out of a Vogue magazine looking all chic and stunning, we also wandered down to these rose gardens nearby for all their portraits, came back to the Olympic Rooftop Pavilion at Hotel Ballard and exchanged their love in vows, and danced the night away. Their day was such a blast and I just love those sunset vibes up on the rooftop during their reception! Ahh! Such models and it was so fun! While we were at the rose gardens, there was this music festival going on so we had a soundtrack the whole time! It was such a bright and sunny day- just like their smiles! Cheesy, I know, I can’t help it!
This was also my first time shooting at the Olympic Rooftop Pavilion and it was so much fun! The staff was amazing, the whole hotel was awesome, theirs so much life happening in Ballard, that the whole area just felt alive and fun. I’d love to shoot here again! I also really love the contrast to their ceremony vibes- the sunny fire pit area where Evelyn and Robbie stood for their ceremony, was so bright and then the inside where their guests mostly sat was darker in shade, so it was so fun to be funky with that lighting and create this dramatic esthetic for these two who are already should be apart of a high-fashion magazine!
So this is how these two ridiculously good looking people met: “In college, one of our mutual friends kept talking to each of us separately about how great the other was. Finally, we relented to her matchmaking and decided to see what the hype was about. We talked and laughed for hours on our first coffee date and have been best friends ever since.”
And this is how the proposal went down that lead to this stunning day: “We were camping near Rocky Mountain National Park on the road trip to move Robbie to Seattle. One morning at 5am, I woke Evelyn up at 5am and convinced her to come watch the sunrise. As we sat and waited, I felt like the sun would never come up! But just I thought the clouds were going to prevent us from seeing any sunset, the sun started to shine over the mountains. I got down on one knee and (embarrassingly) my mind went blank. With my prepared remarks evading me, I asked her to marry me. First she said “WHAT?” but then thankfully said “Yes!” We celebrated with a nice bowl of oatmeal in front of our camp stove, and spent a wonderful day hiking and relaxing.”
Too freaken’ cute!! A huge congrats to Robbie and Evelyn and I hope you two have the best life together! Cheers!
