I’m known for capturing those didn’t-know-you-were-there shots and busting a move on the dance floor just to get those perfect candids. I also work with you to ensure we incorporate your style and story into your engagement and wedding photos!
Nancy and Taylor had a rainy Gold Creek Pond Elopement at the end of 2024 and it was absolutely cozy! These two goth cuties had an intimate ceremony out in Snoqualmie Pass under the cover of rain (pouring rain) and it was truly magical. We started the day out at their lodge they were staying at in Suncadia Resort. Right on the golf course, we had our first looks, detail shots, and a few portraits before hitting the road for their ceremony. I love all the goth details these two had on their wedding day in their detail shots and how Taylor was totally in a slick black suit!
Once we arrived at Gold Creek Pond, it was pouring! I usually bring my clear dome umbrellas for everyone so it looks uniform and pretty, but there were not enough umbrellas to account for THAT much rain! Nancy’s dress got absolute soaked, and her veil was sooooo heavy by the end of the evening. I used the wetness to our advantage, like I do, and tried flipping the veil over the umbrella Nancy and Taylor were holding, and made a gothy little vibe photo for their gallery 🙂 Turned out really cool and was a total PNW mood!
So this is how the proposal went down: “We were on a vacation in the North Carolina mountains for Taylor to ride his motorcycle on the Tail of the Dragon. During our down time we hiked to a waterfall and he kept telling me how nervous he was. We stopped next the falls and he had me feel how fast his heart was beating before he got down on one knee where I of course said yes!”
And this is what surprised them the most when wedding planning: “I have loved being able to make this day exactly what we want without the opinions of everyone else. I am surprised that even though we have been together for 13 years, it feels like we are closer than we were before. I did not think that was possible but knowing we are making this commitment has opened up a new level of comfort.”
