Joy, Jon, and their trusty sidekick Cooper took on an epic adventure to for a secret Rattlesnake Ledge Elopement in North Bend, WA that no one saw coming. Their family and friends had no clue that these two lovebirds had hiked up a mountain to exchange vows and bask in each other’s love—how delightfully sneaky, right?! Talk about keeping things exciting!

With a big move across the country on the horizon for Jon’s job, Joy and Jon decided to fully embrace the beauty of the Pacific Northwest before they said goodbye to it. They wanted to capture the essence of the region in the most intimate and breathtaking way possible. We kicked things off with a sweet first look by the lake, where the stillness of the water and the towering trees set the perfect tone. Then, we embarked on an hour-long hike up to Rattlesnake Ledge, where they exchanged rings and vows against the backdrop of mountains, rain storms, and the lush PNW forest—seriously, it felt like we were in a fairytale.

And of course, Cooper was right there leading the pack, making sure everyone was on track for this exhausting yet magical trek. We also had the amazing Adrienne from Wags Down the Aisle tagging along to hang with Cooper, and she was absolutely the best at keeping him company and entertained while we focused on the elopement. If you need a dog-sitter, she’s your gal!

These two were just so adorable. And can we talk about their ‘Blue Steel’ moment? Yes, you heard that right—both Joy and Jon gave me their best Zoolander-inspired looks as we stood on the ledge, and it was as hilarious as it was perfect. A little humor and a lot of love—what’s not to adore?

After exchanging vows, rings, and a few heartfelt moments, they shared a beer together, savoring the peaceful sunset and the pure joy of the day. It was the perfect end to an incredible adventure, and the whole experience was just so fun, spontaneous, and full of love. Honestly, I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day with two amazing people.
