I’m known for capturing those didn’t-know-you-were-there shots and busting a move on the dance floor just to get those perfect candids. I also work with you to ensure we incorporate your style and story into your engagement and wedding photos!
Melanie and Adam had a stunning and rainy Bannan House Farm wedding out in Granite Falls, WA this fall and it had all the moody fall vibes you could want on a wedding day! It basically rained on us most of the day, but that didn’t stop Melanie and Adam from having the best day ever and dancing in the rain together. These two lovebirds started their day off with a first look with Melanie’s Dad, then first look with each other along with reading private vows to each other. I’m loving this trend of the couple reading personal vows before the ceremony first and then during the ceremony, exchange traditional vows, that way they get all the vows possible and that first look moment (the start of their wedding day) is more personal and more about them 🙂
Anyway! They got married, then popped champagne, danced with pizza for everyone, and I just loved all the wedding party colors in their terracotta dresses and warm navy suits. It was perfect coloring to their farm fall wedding day and everything looked so stunning all put together. I really loved that they brought their puppy, Honey, along for the adventure and we got so many great shots of her throughout the day hanging out with everyone! Wedding Tip: If you plan on bringing your puppy to your wedding day, please have Wags down the Aisle as your puppy handler because she does it all- lint rolling, getting their attention for photos, taking care of them while you’re getting ready/ getting married, everything!! Seriously, just book her 😉
Honey was such a sweet puppy, but she still owes me a kiss after I gave her some peanut butter. Just saying!
This was one of my favorite weddings this year because of all the rain moodiness and how much fun everyone had in the rain. When it came to the father/ daughter dance, they instead had a family dance and all the immediate family members set fire to the dance floor and all danced together. I love that! And they did it all in the rain! So fun! When it came to the sparkler send off, it was also sprinkling, but we decided to go for it anyway and the effect the sparklers made just with the smoke and the drizzle around them made it look all vintage and gorgeous! Seriously take a look below!
Okay, so here is how these two met: “I work at Seattle Children’s Hospital and I visit patients in their homes. One of the Children’s vehicles had a problem with one of its brake lights, and since I was going to be out seeing patients anyway, I offered to take it to the shop. Adam is who we checked out with, and I could not stop staring at his eyes! I was with my friend Emily, who I asked after we left if he was flirting with me, because I’m clueless. The whole following week, I was scheming to get my own car’s oil changed so I can give him my number! I almost chickened out, this was very out of character for me! But I ended up going, giving one of his employees my number on the back of Adam’s business card to give to Adam, and I ran away! Later that same day he texted me, and we’ve been inseparable since!”
Their favorite part about being together: “We laugh–SO MUCH–together! We are both just very silly, and I feel like both of our “weirds” fit together perfectly. I’ve never felt so safe or loved in my life.”
A huge congrats to Melanie and Adam for having a beautiful wedding day and the world is so much better with you two married! Cheers!
