WithinSodo Downtown Seattle Wedding

The Big Fake Wedding: Seattle was one of the most awesome events I’ve ever had the pleasure of shooting. When I was selected as one of the photographers to document the day at WithinSodo Downtown Seattle Wedding, and have my own little booth, I was SO excited and immediately started planning everything. For those who are not familiar with The Big Fake Wedding, it’s a simulated wedding show that’s basically a wedding show alteration. You get to attend a real vow renewal ceremony, first dance, and reception, all while getting to walk around and meet some legit local vendors. It’s such a blast and more fun and a traditional wedding show.

Anyway, I was fortunate enough to be one of the wedding photographers chosen to document the cast of the ceremony, all the vendor products, and so much more. It was so awesome getting to meet local mega creative vendors, and to be creative myself with detailed photos, wedding party portraits, and even photos with a puppy!

When I think of a wedding show and taking wedding photos in the gorgeous city of Seattle, you think of overcast and maybe some rain, but oh no, on this Big Fake Wedding Day, the clouds parted and it was warm and sunny all day. Some haze from the water come in around the time we were set to take bridal portraits, but still ended up being a super pleasant day; and of course the next day being the perfect Seattle weather with clouds and rain. lol of course! Some people might not realize that overcast is preferred by photographers so all skin tones are even, glowing, and we can shoot anywhere, not just against the sun so no one is squinting. 🙂

So any great memories from this event and it was such an honor being apart of it. Thank you to Big Fake Wedding for allowing me to be apart, to document everything, and to all the awesome couples I had the pleasure of meeting- congrats to you all and I hope your wedding is mega amazing!
