I’m known for capturing those didn’t-know-you-were-there shots and busting a move on the dance floor just to get those perfect candids. I also work with you to ensure we incorporate your style and story into your engagement and wedding photos!
Kyla and Jason and a gorgeous The Empress Estate Wedding and it’s my new favorite venue in the gorgeous area of Woodland, WA. It was my first time in Woodland and it was definitely awesome! These two have the best hearts and I love how we’ve developed a friendship with each other over the past year of working together.
Where to start! Maybe it was the stunning mermaid gown Kyla wore, the cloudy golden hour photos we shot in the golden field, the way Jason looked at Kyla and cried seeing her walk down the aisle, the elegant venue, the hilarious wedding party, or maybe it was the thunderstorm at the end of the night, but this wedding was incredible. Kyla and Jason are so adorable together and it was such a treat and an honor getting to capture their wedding day!!
My favorite part, besides basically all of it, was when Jason and Kyla had their first dance, and they danced to “A Million Dreams” sung by P!nk, from The Greatest Showman, and the way they booth looked at each other, and sang to each other, just made everything sparkle. They love each other so much and just seeing that, feeling that love when you’re in the same room as them- it’s electric and makes my heart so happy.
Kyla and Jason had a fun shoe game during their reception and it was adorable! Their summer wedding in the woods was just stunning and everything about their wedding day was uniquely theirs and special. Everyone there meant the world to them and it was just so cool to see it all.
A little bit about their story: Kyla and Jason met in high school at a football game. Kyla was trying to make another guy a little jealous by flirting with Jason! They became friends after that and started dating 3 months later. They have been dating for 4 years before Jason popping the question in Spokane, WA. They both were there for a leadership conference with a lot of their friends. It was around 3am and they were supposed to meet up when Jason made Kyla stay in her dress instead of sweatpants and proposed to her in front of everyone at the conference. It was s total surprise for Kyla and everyone else knew what was happening. So cute!
I’m stoked to share with you all their elegant and awesome wedding day at the Empress Estate here.

“The Best Experience EVER
I found Sarah Jane on Instagram and followed her for a while before my wedding and knew I had to have her a photographer! Her personality is so bubbly and she is hilarious! She’ll make you feel so comfortable and beautiful in front of the camera. When I reached out for more information I got a response right away and was able to plan a Skype meeting. We had constant email/text conversations helping plan a shot list, day of timeline, and to just check in on how I’m doing. Sarah Jane is willing to go out of her way and work so hard for your engagement session and wedding to make sure you have all the photos and more than you could want but she also makes sure everything is running smoothly! She’ll check in with you on anything you need from food, water, and fresh air. We feel like we made a new best friend in Sarah Jane. If you’re looking for someone who is fun, caring, and an amazing photographer you definitely need Sarah Jane.”
