I’m known for capturing those didn’t-know-you-were-there shots and busting a move on the dance floor just to get those perfect candids. I also work with you to ensure we incorporate your style and story into your engagement and wedding photos!
Happy Valentines day, everyone!
Today’s first bridal banter is all about where it all started as a wedding photographer.
First, I just want to say that love rocks. Every time I photograph adorable couples for their couple session, engagement session, wedding, I can totally feel the love radiating from my couples. It’s amazing! Just seeing how they interact with each other, the little smiles, ahhh I just love being able to capture those moments.
Anyway, I became a wedding photographer about 4 years ago. I started taking photos of my friends graduating college, bands performing (as I worked in the music industry for 6 years), and I just wanted to dive deeper into this profession. A friend from college had a sister getting married and needed a photographer. So she ended up booking me, with no wedding experience I might add, and it turned out awesome. My first wedding I ever photographed was a rainy, small, beautiful backyard wedding. I documented the heck out of that wedding and I just fell in love with what I could do. Documenting all the details that went into a wedding day, the shoes, the dress, ribbon on the centerpieces, it’s all beautiful! Being able to capture what this bride and her family have worked so hard to create, is such an honor.
From then on, I have documented several amazing PNW weddings and I can’t wait to capture more. You don’t need to have a big wedding to make it a special day. Remember, its not about the wedding day, it’s about the marriage you create together and loving each other till the end of days.
Join me next Wednesday, right here on the IG, for another dose of Sarah Jane’s Bridal Banter. Thanks for reading and #HappyValentinesDay
