Let’s talk about WEDDING CAKES!

Can I just say that photographing wedding cakes is one of my favorite things in the whole world! I have mad respect for cake bakers and decorators because its so cool what they can do and what they can create.

Here is a little tip for what you can do for your wedding cake to keep the costs a little lower.

For our wedding, we had a local cake baker create a very simple white cake. A white cake with some texture and flavor inside. But I really wanted to decorate the cake myself with white roses and some eucalyptus.  So we shaved a few bucks off just by getting a beautiful white 2-tiered cake and we added our own florals. It turned out amazing! So, just an idea for those budget friendly brides out there. 😉

But always remember to ask your cake baker for a cake top box so you can save your wedding cake for your 1 year wedding anniversary. If they don’t provide that, remember to have some tumblewear on standby just in case.
