Deciding on your Dream Venue?

 

Happy Wednesday, Friends! Today’s Sarah Jane’s Bridal Banter is all about picking your wedding venue and some tips to keep in mind.

The great thing about wedding venues these days is that more venues are offering more. More decorations, in-house catering, plenty of chairs, and many other services.

Some things to keep in mind when venue hunting: First and foremost, check to make sure your dream wedding venue is available on your date! Then find out what packages they have. Some have a Friday/ Saturday deal and some have Sunday deals. Sometimes, they offer Sunday wedding dates at a discount! My husband and I picked a Sunday since it was such a great deal!

One thing we were surprised with while setting up for our wedding was all the leftover decorations from previous weddings! You wouldn’t believe how many wonderful and beautiful things were left at the venue that we used! We had an awesome burlap backdrop for our cake, hanging fairy lights behind our sweetheart table, and even a dream-full of white globe lights hanging from the barn ceiling. You never know what your venue might help with!

My favorite part of looking for your perfect venue is this: Can you see yourself getting married there? Imagine you walking towards your groom, seeing all your friends and family there, and can you imagine what your wedding photos would look like. If you want a downtown-look, where do you want to go? Down an ally or in front of old brick buildings? If you want a more country-feel; are there plenty of places to explore and get a variety of pictures? Can you see yourself saying ‘I do’ to your best friend there? Keeping in mind these questions will help make your decision so much easier.
