I’m known for capturing those didn’t-know-you-were-there shots and busting a move on the dance floor just to get those perfect candids. I also work with you to ensure we incorporate your style and story into your engagement and wedding photos!
Kaitlyn and Josh’s Moody Artist Point Elopement was one for the books. These two, along with their closest friends and family, packed their bags and flew all the way from Wisconsin to Washington to celebrate in the mountains. They spent an entire week exploring the Pacific Northwest, soaking up everything our state has to offer—from iconic PNW coffee to local craft beer (the essentials, of course!). By the time their wedding day arrived, they were already fully immersed in the Washington lifestyle.
The mountains weren’t quick to show themselves that day. For most of the afternoon, the peaks were hidden behind layers of dreamy fog and clouds. But as the sun began to dip, the sky opened just enough to give us a glimpse of the incredible alpine glow. That soft golden light painted the ridges in the distance, creating the perfect backdrop for Kaitlyn and Josh’s vows.
Their ceremony took place in what I love to call the “Lord of the Rings meadow” at Artist Point. With towering evergreens and moody mountain layers surrounding us, it felt like something straight out of a fantasy film. After their heartfelt vows, we made our way further up the mountain for photos. The sunset quickly gave way to blue hour, leaving us with moody, atmospheric light that perfectly matched the vibe of the day. Honestly, it couldn’t have been more magical!
One of my favorite things about Kaitlyn and Josh is how playful they are together. They have this adorable habit of sticking their tongues out at each other, which never failed to make Kaitlyn laugh. Their energy kept the day lighthearted, fun, and full of joy—even when the weather threw us a curveball.
It was such a privilege to spend the day with this group. From heartfelt moments to silly laughter, their Moody Artist Point Elopement is one I’ll never forget. I hope they make their way back to Washington soon—this time maybe with a little more sunshine, but still with the same magic that makes them such a joy to be around!!
