I’m known for capturing those didn’t-know-you-were-there shots and busting a move on the dance floor just to get those perfect candids. I also work with you to ensure we incorporate your style and story into your engagement and wedding photos!
Sil and Sean had intimate and moody Artist Point Bridal Portraits the day before they tied the knot. After almost 3 years together, Sean surprised Sil with a roof top proposal back east in Philadelphia, PA. Moreover, to no surprise, the adventurous pair chose to make their wedding experience even more unique by separating their “first look” and reading private vows under the Artist Point skies! Especially given that this dreamy couple has such an itch for the outdoors, Artist Point at Mount Baker in Snoqualmie National Park set the scene flawlessly!
Furthermore, when planning an intimate and moody Artist Point Bridal Portraits it is critical to make sure you are aware of Artist Point Trailhead area status. Artist Point is closed to cars during the winter months due to it not being plowed and the build up of snowfall. Additionally, there are not specific dates that included closure and/or opening dates. However, if you are planning your shoot during the summer months, you have a greater chance of catching the views like Sil and Sean! Consequently, there are parking fees, and it is good to keep in mind that you will not have access to potable water or lavatories. This is quite literally one of the most epic locations to shoot, as long as you are doing your research and come prepared!
Nevertheless, if you are looking for a way to amp up your nuptials, starting with an intimate and moody Artist Point Bridal Portraits session is high on my recommendations! Particularly if you are wanting to preserve some of the more intimate moments of your special day. Artist Point provides all the vibes that you could expect from a true-blue fairytale feeling!
How they met:
Sil and Sean’s story started in January, 2020. This southern California native and east coast girl both made their way to the PNW to pursue their career goals. Luckily, they ended up finding each other on the way. Sean started moving north from Orange County to Portland, Oregon in 2015. He worked hard to teach himself to code and landed a software engineering role in Seattle in 2018. Sil moved to Seattle for a graduate school program at the University of Washington in the fall of 2019 after trekking cross country, with the help of friends and family along the way. est. 1.9.20
Their first date was on January 9, 2020 over a game of Battleship and a couple of beers. Sil won that game by the way, no matter what Sean says! Their second date was the very next day. Their third date was the day after that. Sil taught Sean how to snowboard, and Sean taught Sil how to mountain bike. An outdoorsy pair of spontaneous angels!
After finding themselves visiting Bellingham often, they decided to take a leap and move even closer to the Canadian border in the fall of 2021. In October of last year, Sean surprised Sil (with the help of her friends in Philly) and asked her to marry him! Earlier this year, they made the decision to put down official roots in this gorgeous top left corner of the country. They purchased their first home with a big backyard for Ellie and Riley. The rest is history…in the making!
