I’m known for capturing those didn’t-know-you-were-there shots and busting a move on the dance floor just to get those perfect candids. I also work with you to ensure we incorporate your style and story into your engagement and wedding photos!
Ade and Dev had a gorgeous and vibrant Blue Nigerian Wedding Ceremony at Floral Hall in Everett, WA to kick off the two day celebration to the beginning of their forever! This two day affair highlighted their love for another through the eyes of fusing cultural traditions. Both their Nigerian and South Indian Roots were fully in the forefront of their union. Day one was a electric representation of the Nigerian traditions. The bride and groom were surrounded by their family and friends to truly immerse themselves in the experience!
Each of these martial celebrations hosted themes and colors to represent the families honor for one another. On the first day at Floral Hall during their traditional Nigerian wedding reception, the theme for the day was “blue”. This meant that all of the families were dressing in blue garb to display honor toward each other.
Ade was radiant in her full blue dress and headdress. This ensemble perfectly encapsulated her bright smile and love for her groom! Both Ade and Dev entered into the reception with their wedding party and family members. Each of them to their own song and their choreographed dance moves. In a traditional Blue Nigerian wedding ceremony fashion, the family of Dev (groom) must propose a letter the brides family. This letter is a formal request for Ade’s (bride) hand in marriage. However, Ade’s family must accept the proposal before they are accepted as a couple.
Following this request, Ade entered the reception with an electric orange beaded feather fan and draped in a gorgeous sheer veil. Furthermore, Dev had to “find his bride and make sure that she was the right one he proposed to” by lifting up the veil and confirming her identity. Lastly, Dev also had to prove that he can provide for Ade and showed that his character is beautiful, he has a sound mind, and he is financially buoyant. He proved that by dropping dollar bills on a table. For some added humor Dev also sent little Venmo as a joke!
Nevertheless, after all of the formalities were complete, these two families partied into the night! Everyone was dancing Nigerian and Indian dance moves as one big family.
