I’m known for capturing those didn’t-know-you-were-there shots and busting a move on the dance floor just to get those perfect candids. I also work with you to ensure we incorporate your style and story into your engagement and wedding photos!
Ade and Dev had a gorgeous and vibrant Blue Nigerian Wedding Ceremony at Rosehill Community Center in Mukilto, WA to wrap up their two day wedding celebration. This two day affair was a flawless representation of both their love for another and the merging of their cultures. Both their Nigerian and South Indian Roots were fully in the forefront of their union.
On day two of their Blue Nigerian Wedding Ceremony Ade and Dev incorporated more of the South Indian style celebration. Much like day one of their wedding festivities, the family brought a color theme to the day! Orange was the theme to represent during Ade and Dev’s traditional wedding ceremony and reception. Additionally, they brought to life the South Indian Tradition of Saptapadi (7-steps) around a live flame during the ceremony! This was such an incredible experience to behold and made their day so remarkable.
During this Blue Nigerian Wedding Ceremony, “following to the beat of their own drum” takes on a whole new meaning for this couple! Ade and Dev met while playing drums for a “Samba Drumming Group” in Seattle. These two beautiful beings have been drumming together ever since! Their drumming group is just like a second family to them, and when you see them perform you can feel the love emerge from the rhythm! During the reception they surprised their guests with performing a few drum numbers as a group. The energy filled the space and everyone was in awe of their talent. My soul is still on a natural high from their performance!
Thereafter, the power of the musical creations shifted the reception into a huge dance party. I am in awe of their kind and loving spirits. Ade and Dev are some of the most incredible, kind and stunning people on this planet. It was truly an honor to be behind the lens of this electrifying marital celebration, as well as a once in a lifetime opportunity for me to bare witness. In each of these images you can feel the love, the fun and the sunshine shining down on us throughout the entire day. This was one wedding that felt more like a gift to my soul than a job to me. I am so happy that Ade and Dev get to dance into the rest of their lives with all the love and happiness from this celebration!
