I’m known for capturing those didn’t-know-you-were-there shots and busting a move on the dance floor just to get those perfect candids. I also work with you to ensure we incorporate your style and story into your engagement and wedding photos!
Natalie and Ben had an elegant, yet electric Farm 12 Wedding that made for the most romantic union. Just to start, Natalie was covered in all the family heirlooms. The bride was draped in her grandmother’s jewelry, as well as her mother’s garter, mirror and engagement ring! It was so beautiful to see how she incorporated all of her families treasures, and had her mother in the role of her Matron of Honor. It was such a stunning and meaningful touch to compliment the perfect day. Let’s also not forget how fun Natalies detachable sleeves were! I mean, she was already show stopping in her dress, but this just took it to a whole new level! Additionally, the rich red’s from the bridesmaids dresses, classic black suits and multidimensional floral arrangements were such a vibrant and elegant features. With the perfect balance of rustic, raw barn wood and modern industrial accents, Natalie and Ben made the aesthetic for their wedding impeccable! Nevertheless, the true star of decor was the way Ben’s eyes lit up and filled with tears as he saw the love of his life walking down the isle towards him.
Natalie and Ben’s Farm 12 Wedding was flooded with smiles, laughter, first pumps, kisses and so much love! The wedding party really made an entrance into the ceremony when they walked down the isle to “Lord of the Rings” music. This was such a distinctive setting for these two playful love birds, and really set a tone for how their wedding was to represent their personalities. Regardless of how much silliness surrounded these two, it could not top the intimacy that they shared behind the “open” doors. Prior to the ceremony, Natalie and Ben privately exchanged vows without seeing each other, just separated by opposite sides of a door. The only connection made was the touch of their hands while they privately promised their lives to one another. This moment had such an impact on their special day! Following the reception, Ben surprised Natalie with a vintage car rental for them to get away in as their getaway vehicle! It was so heartwarming to see the details they put into expressing their affection for one another.
Straightaway, the mountain was out for these two in their Farm 12 Wedding “golden hour.” Let me be the first to tell you how indescribably gorgeous it was for these images, not to mention that Natalie was a total bombshell! However, one important thing to remember when planning your Farm 12 Wedding is that this is a beloved community landmark that has been in Puyallup, WA for over 120 years. They are known for its rich farm lands filled with floral accents and beautiful sunset views! I can say that I was not let down- the venue truly delivered! Although, this is not even the coolest part about this 5 generation, family owned venue. Farm 12 has also made a name for themselves in how they give back to their community through their nonprofit programming and community donations to support giving back to the mission of the Step by Step Family Support Center.
A little more about these beautiful newly weds:
How they met: Natalie was living in Chicago at the time as a Seattle transplant, and went to the only Seahawks bar in the city every Sunday to watch her Hawks play – Brownstone Tavern. Ben was living in Washington and flew to Chicago for a 12-hour, on-a-whim trip to watch the Cubs play in the World Series, and decided to look and see if there was a bar he could watch the Seahawks at before the baseball game. He stumbled across Brownstone Tavern, walked in, saw Natalie, and what he described as “the biggest smile, dimples, and eyes he had ever seen”… and the rest is history.
The Proposal: Natalie is very close with her family, including her grandparents who had passed away several years prior. She had not been back to Vashon Island, where she spent her childhood at her grandparents’ island house, since they passed away. Ben spun the whole weekend as a “celebration and remembrance of family”, so Natalie was not expecting the proposal at all – it was a complete surprise and they both wouldn’t have had it any other way.
