I’m known for capturing those didn’t-know-you-were-there shots and busting a move on the dance floor just to get those perfect candids. I also work with you to ensure we incorporate your style and story into your engagement and wedding photos!
Catie and Dave are engaged!!! We adventured to the Keechelus Lake boat launch area in Snoqualmie Pass for their #pnw engagement session and they totally had all the hipster cloudy rainy day #pnw vibes going on! With Catie in her stunning gold velvet dress, Dave’s brown hipster hat, and the drizzling rain all around us, we had such an awesome engagement session down in the dried up lake in Snoqualmie pass.
I’ve never been down to this area before and now I can’t wait to go back! I’m always driving by this lake to get to literally any/ all of weddings and sessions, but have never stopped. It was PERFECT! We had the mountains, the views, the trees, the stumps, mud of course, but open spaces filled with stumps to stand on, walk around, and everything in-between. If you’re looking for a #pnw filled style place to shoot, this is it. Right now in October, the lake is mostly dry on the Gold Creek Pond side of it all and it’s now my favorite.
Anyway! Catie, Dave, and I finally had our engagement session. First there was the wildfire smoke, then our first location choice had a road closure, and then rain was going to pour on us, but finally, we met up at this lake and it was just meant to be. The drizzling rain made for a classic Washington state moody session, and these two cuties were so adorable wondering around in the rain. Dave owns a bar in Seattle, called the Screwdriver Bar, and so naturally, we had to bring some whiskey to drink in the rain and cheers to their engagement! Woohoo!
So beyond stoked for this session and I’m so in love with the colors, the scenery, and basically everything about it. Catie and Dave are so wonderful and it was so fun adventuring in the rain and mud while listening to the great Paul Simon! Can’t wait for their wedding in 2021!

Pretty! This has been an incredibly wonderful article. Thanks for providing this information. Maritsa Bartholemy Hoskinson
Your work is so beautiful! I am very interested in this location! I am wondering how accessible it is? Does it require a long walk from the car to the lake area itself?
Aww thanks so much, Morgan! It’s actually really accessible! You just drive to the main boat launch area and walk down into the lake. It’s not that far at all, just depends where you want to go. It’s a huge area so you could walk a lot or just be right next to your car. Super gorgeous! You need a Northwest Forest Pass to go there. 🙂
