I’m known for capturing those didn’t-know-you-were-there shots and busting a move on the dance floor just to get those perfect candids. I also work with you to ensure we incorporate your style and story into your engagement and wedding photos!
Desirae and Alexis are married!! These two queens had an intimate Bainbridge Island Halloween Elopement with the theme of masquerade! It was SO beautiful and so much fun capturing all the magic and fun halloween decorations. It was also a super awesome moon phase with it being a blue moon so naturally, we had to get the moon in the last photo for these two!
This was such a special day! Desirae and Alexis are too adorable together and I love how they both wore magical and gorgeous gowns! They had a super intimate elopement in Alexis’ backyard surrounded by their close friends and family. I really loved seeing the two of them wearing matching black veils with stars and moons on them! So cool! We spent the day documenting how fabulous they are with a rope tying at the ceremony, and then a fun casual reception. We even went down to the dock where Alexis and her brother spent most of their childhood running up and down on. Too precious!
Okay, this is how the proposal went down: “Desirae: We had talked off and on about marriage over the years since we met, and our expectations for our relationship. Neither of us were very interested in it early on, because we both come from families full of relationship drama. Eventually though, we realized that it didn’t sound so bad, and that we actually really liked the idea of it all. About two weeks before the proposal, Alexis came out to me as my girlfriend (A wonderful surprise to both of us) and we both did some soul searching. I was about to go on a trip to Yellowstone with some friends on one of the longest breaks we’ve had apart. On our way to drop me off a few hours from home with my friends, I decided to ask Alexis if she wanted to get married in a roundabout proposal and we picked up an engagement ring that day. “I only got to be her girlfriend for two weeks before she proposed and then vanished for a week and I didn’t know what to do with myself!”- Alexis”
Things they are really looking forward to in their future together: “Desirae: Being able to call her my wife. Working on our relationship and our future together, like some day owning our own house so we can fill it with foster kittens. Just more of THIS, what we already have and just being together with the fancy adult title added on. Alexis: Our continued happiness together. Desirae is my calm port from life’s many storms. As of this writing I’m mid-transition and still figuring out who I’ll be on the other side of it, what my life will be like as a woman. But I know I’ll have Desirae, so I’m sure it will be a grand time!”
Sooooo adorable and I’m so excited for them to finally be wife and wife 🙂 Congrats, ladies!!
Enjoy their wonderful halloween masquerade elopement!
