I’m known for capturing those didn’t-know-you-were-there shots and busting a move on the dance floor just to get those perfect candids. I also work with you to ensure we incorporate your style and story into your engagement and wedding photos!
Desir’ee and Andy had a fall Mt. Rainier Elopement up at the Paradise Lodge area in early October and they had all the fall vibes. The mountain was hidden by clouds and fog the the entire time, but it looked like we were in the clouds and a Twilight film! Their fall Mt. Rainier Elopement was super moody and with all the fall colors; everything they wanted. Desir’ee and Any are from Oklahoma and they flew across the country to get married at Mt. Rainier National Park. They have adventured together all over the place, so adventuring to go get married was exactly what they had in mind.
They got ready at this adorable cabin in Ashford, WA and we had to do some portraits around there in the ferns and tall evergreens, and then we adventured up to Paradise over at the Naches Peak Loop for their intimate ceremony, and of course more portraits. We popped champagne and these two are way too gorgeous together!
This is how Desir’ee and Andy met: “We met at our school’s Winter Formal dance in 2010. I was a freshman in high school and he was a sophomore. We were introduced by a mutual friend and we hit it off immediately. He was smart and funny and charming. He had the best sense of humor paired with a razor sharp wit. I was so captivated by him, I went home with his number and a huge crush!”
And this is how the proposal went down: “In September of 2020, we took a weeklong vacation to Colorado. We were really looking forward to visiting Rocky Mountain National Park because we loved visiting California’s National Parks with my dad. We took a shuttle bus to a popular destination – Bear Lake – but noticed that it was way too crowded for our liking. We decided that we would take an adjacent trail to Beirstadt Lake that looked less populated. Along the way, I started asking questions to kind of reflect on our relationship and where we have been as a couple (ie, what’s your favorite memory of us, etc). We arrived at our destination and took a seat on some giant rocks to catch our breath and take in the view. I was really nervous but I reached into my backpack and pulled out a wooden ring box. I turned to him and asked him “Do you want to be adventure buddies forever?”. At first, he was so shocked that he reflexively said no but once he realized what happened, he quickly corrected himself!”
A huge congratulations to Desir’ee and Andy!! You both are super sweet, amazing, I love chatting about SyFy shows and such with you two, and I wish you guys all the best!! Cheers!
