I’m known for capturing those didn’t-know-you-were-there shots and busting a move on the dance floor just to get those perfect candids. I also work with you to ensure we incorporate your style and story into your engagement and wedding photos!
Katie and Ty had a stunning Fall Cattle Barn Wedding out in the moody area of Cle Elum, WA. It rained on us a bit but overall it was a stunning day in the PNW with all the details you can imagine for a gorgeous fall wedding day! This wedding has everything you want in a gorgeous fall wedding day with not only the different fall colors for each bridesmaid dress, not only the cozy candle-lit reception in a cozy barn, not only with the moody weather, but we even had some elk hanging out in the distance along with a bit of rain during the dance party. I really love that for their ceremony, they had all the chairs on both sides of the aisle facing each other, so everyone could look sideways towards the front but also you can get all the views of everyone walking down the aisle. It was so different and cool, I really loved seeing something different!
Well Katie and Ty are just super adorable, along with their baby Easton. Even when we first met over FaceTime, Easton stole the entire conversation with his gorgeous smile! We hung out for their engagement session back in the day, and these two are just so cute, you can tell they love each other to death, and you just know their wedding is going to be so good! And it was!
Everyone was so awesome, the dance moves were amazing- I believe it was Ty’s sister who made the first move onto the dance floor once it was open for everyone (after the gorgeous first dances), and she had her baby in her baby carrier on her chest rocking out to the tunes. It was so epic, so cute, and really set the tone for the night. After dancing, Katie and Ty had a fun send off and got to drive around the block in this vintage black car together all snuggling. It was such a fun wedding day and couldn’t imagine a more perfect fall day 🙂
Alright, so here is how Katie and Ty met: “HAHA this story! We met at Watershed at the Gorge when we were both way too drunk. Dani and I were at watershed with our moms (watershed moms) and we snuck into the VIP section before Jason Aldean went on stage and a very tall guy was standing in front of me with his friend and offered us to stand in front of them. I was like “oh no it’s okay” (I mean I’m 5’3 I can’t see anything anyways) well dani said SURE! And pushed us through! My small bladder had us leave early and we couldn’t get back into VIP. Well little did I know dani and tall man (Jeremiah who is our officiant) exchanged numbers so we ended up seeing them down at the river the next day and hung out later that night and of course we’re making out on the grassy hill (our best moment obviously) Dani and Jeremiah got married and now here we are!”
And this is how the proposal went down: “At our gender reveal for our baby boy! We had a photographer for our reveal and both our sisters were with us. When we got home ty had planned an engagement party with our friends that had decorated our house while we were gone.”
Too cute! Congrats to Katie and Ty! And Easton! Y’all are awesome and it was such a joy and an honor capturing everything for you two 🙂 Cheers!
