I’m known for capturing those didn’t-know-you-were-there shots and busting a move on the dance floor just to get those perfect candids. I also work with you to ensure we incorporate your style and story into your engagement and wedding photos!
Felicity and Will had the most magical Great Gatsby-inspired Imperia Lake Union wedding in downtown Seattle over the weekend. It was so stunning and everyone showed up completely on theme with the 1920’s vibe. Not only was the Imperia totally in the desired era, but Felicity was absolutely stunning in her totally sparkled gown, her pin-up curls, and basically everything in between. This wedding was such a great/incredible start to the 2023 wedding season for sure! Everyone in attendance was so sweet, so cool, and really knew how to dance! Felicity and Will also have two adorable cats that were unfortunately unable to attend the wedding, but they were there in their fancy oil portraits and even their cake topper. Way too adorable!
We started their wedding day out at the stunning (and on theme) hotel, The Graduate in Seattle where Will and Felicity got ready, had their first look, and also we did plenty of wedding party photos there as well. It was pouring the entire time, so umbrellas had to come out, but it was stunning. We got some rooftop bar shots (some of my all time favorite moments there), snagged a beer, and danced in the lobby. It was so much fun with these two and they are born models. I’m serious! I didn’t have to direct them AT ALL! So adorable together and I love how they love beer so much that they incorporated some hops in their details like Will’s tie and the groomsmen boutonnieres. These two really planned thier wedding day perfectly and it was an absolute joy to photograph.
Their gorgeous and cozy ceremony was at the Imperia Lake Union venue about 5 minutes away from The Graduate. It’s STUNNING! It fit their vibe perfectly and I looove the fact that some of their guest tables were booths! So cozy and unique! The Imperia even has some secret rooms behind a two way mirror and down in the basement so of course we had to explore those areas and take tons of photos. This was such a fun day and everyone there was amazing! I wish we could go back and do it all over again, but alas, we now have plenty of photos to relive it all together.
Alright, so this is how these two gorgeous people met: “We had been friends for a few years (meeting through mutual friends when Will moved to Seattle). After some nudging from their friends Dani & Carlo, Will invited his friend Felicity to his work holiday party in Northern Virginia. From then on we started hanging out quite frequently (to say the least).”
This is how the proposal went down: “During a road trip down the Oregon Coast, we stopped at the Neskowin Ghost Forest (unbeknownst to Felicity next to Proposal Rock). After enjoying a peaceful walk on the beach and checking out the ancient Sitka Spruce trunks rising out of the sand, Will got down on one knee and asked if I would be his ex-girlfriend — I mean wife. Obviously, I said yes.”
And this is what they love to do together: “All of the totally non-cliche Seattle things 🙂 hikes, visiting breweries, going on runs together, exploring local restaurants and shops, and and yelling at local sports teams for losing again. We also like nights hanging out at home with our two cats, doing home improvement projects, traveling, and hanging out with our amazing group of friends.”
A Huge congrats to Felicity and Will! Your wedding was incredible and I wish you both nothing but happiness and a ton of cats in your future! haha Cheers!

A sweet love note from the couple:
We’re so glad we chose Sarah as our photographer! Her wonderfully detailed timeline, her infectious energy, and her ability to capture the moment made our day fun and extremely smooth. We had several friends (especially the wedding party) comment on how great she was. We didn’t do an engagement shoot and had never done a couples photoshoot before, but Sarah made it fun and easy. I felt she really captured us, was excited about our vision, and was such a great hype woman during all the photos. Her planning in advance gave me full confidence the day would go well (even our DJ commented on her amazing timeline), but her ability to adapt and switch things really made our photos great. Advice from several friends was to book a photographer you wanted to hang with all day (because you will be) and Sarah was exactly that! – Felicity + Will
