I’m known for capturing those didn’t-know-you-were-there shots and busting a move on the dance floor just to get those perfect candids. I also work with you to ensure we incorporate your style and story into your engagement and wedding photos!
Karli and Nick had a beautiful intimate backyard wedding in Yakima, WA last week and it was a great one!! From day one of their engagement, Karli and Nick knew they wanted to get married on August 14th, 2020 and not even a pandemic was going to stop them from tying the knot. After many changes to their wedding day, the two lovebirds trimmed down their guest list, had to create a pandemic-friendly ceremony space, and basically flip their whole wedding plans upside down.
To kick their special day off, Karli wanted to have 3 first looks: one with her brother, her dad, and lastly her anxious groom. And every one of them cried!! It was so incredibly special and amazing. The level of emotions throughout the day was relieve (after planning this wedding during a pandemic) but also so much love. Karli’s dad gave a speech about the story of getting to this day and saying from the first day they got engaged, this date, August 14th, 2020 was always constant. They cut their guest list from 200 to 30 people, but this date was always constant. They had to change locations to their backyard, but this date was always constant. So amazing and meant to be!
A few details I really loved about their day, besides all the amazing overflowing emotions, Karli’s mother made her own wedding gown into a robe (that Karli wore getting ready) and into Karli’s bridal mask that she wore during her wedding ceremony. So special and one of my favorite things to document. One other moment that was really special was seeing Karli’s grandpa at his nursing home after their ceremony. Because of his health and this pandemic, he wasn’t able to attend their wedding which was such a bummer, but the newlyweds went to go visit him through the nursing home window in their wedding attire. It was so sweet and there may have been even more tears there. (brb crying).
Anyway! Nick and Karli’s wedding was stunning and beautiful and so sweet. I’m super excited to share their wedding gallery below. Congrats to Nick and Karli!!!
