I’m known for capturing those didn’t-know-you-were-there shots and busting a move on the dance floor just to get those perfect candids. I also work with you to ensure we incorporate your style and story into your engagement and wedding photos!
Luiza and Matt and a lovely and intimate Labour Temple Wedding in downtown Seattle. Luiza’s family came in from Brazil, two cakes were had, and all the feels. No seriously, this wedding is now one of my favorites and it was such an amazing day! While getting ready at the Edgewater, the wonderful staff at Labour Temple and I prepared for their arrival and I shot all their stunning details. Luiza and Matt arrived, got ready, then had a whimsical first look in the back patio together. Matt’s face says it all and just seeing them together was so adorable!
We did portraits all around this gorgeous venue, Labour Temple is gorgeous and has this retro moody vibes that I love! They had a lovely ceremony indoors, portraits with everyone there, and dancing all night long. One thing I really thought was super cool was the fact that they had a live translation going throughout toasts and the ceremony, so family members in the audience can understand what was being said in real time. It was so cool!
Their wedding day was so much fun and these two are so goofy! Luiza is such a gorgeous soul and Matt just always looked at her with awe and like a heart-eyed-emoji. These two are just too cute and sweet!
This is how the universe brought them together: “We first met “virtually” the moment we both swiped right. Luiza thought Matt was part nerd, part cowboy. From the start, the laughs were endless and the conversation came easy. Hikes, snowboarding, travel (and Luiza’s frequent attempts to steer the conversation toward food) quickly became our common ground. Our first date was in Issaquah. Great conversation, lots of laughs, and the beginning of what would become our favorite place to call home. Our second date and first hike was a true show and tell: questionable weather, an ambitious plan, and a lot of laughter. It didn’t go exactly as planned, but it perfectly captured who we are. Always willing to try, no matter the conditions. Through it all, we found the perfect balance: Luiza brings the party and the joy, and Matt brings the calm and kindness that ground us.”
And this is how the proposal went down: “Proposal was an incredible blue bird day on a hiking trail with the view to Mt Rainier. Hex Mountain. Big surprise and so much emotions”.
Too adorable, am I right? Congratulations to Luiza and Matt! You two are perfect together!
