I’m known for capturing those didn’t-know-you-were-there shots and busting a move on the dance floor just to get those perfect candids. I also work with you to ensure we incorporate your style and story into your engagement and wedding photos!
Tasha and Joe had a stunning Mt. Rainier Fall Elopement in the Paradise Lodge area last fall and it was gorgeous. They only had their most intimate family members with them to witness their ceremony at the Nisqually Vista Loop together and then finished their day with family portraits and a first dance back at their cabin. It was so fun and we spend quite a while in the car heading up to the mountain due to the crazy crowds (and Stevens Canyon being closed) and hanging out with these two in the car was absolutely a blast! They are so cute together and it was such a treat being their photographer.
Tasha and Joe stayed at the Chateau Marmont, a cabin that’s apart of the adorable Little Owl Cabin series, and it was such a unique space for their getting ready + detail shots. They are also expecting a baby (YAY!) so they brought along an ultrasound to have their baby more apart of their big day in the mountains. We also had to play around in the adorable vintage kitchen with some coffee and kisses.
Mt. Rainier was quite busy on this Saturday but we still had a beautiful ceremony and portraits with the queen of Washington on point as ever. There was some interesting lighting for us from the smoke from the Packwood fire making the sun a bit rosy and golden. Since we were stuck in traffic for so long, we didn’t’ get a chance to soak in the sunset with family portraits, so we ran back to this cute vintage cabin for those fun portraits and Tasha and Joe had a lovely first dance together in the living room.
Here is how these two cuties met: “Mutual friend worked at the same place Joe did (grocery store). I met Joe through that friend and we were instantly great friends. Time went on and we went on different paths but found our way back to each other almost a decade later.” And this is how the proposal went down: “We were visiting New Buffalo, MI on a random weekend (where we had our first date) it was sunny and cold (December). We were walking along the beach and on our way back he tapped me on my shoulder and when I turned around there he was. Apparently he had been holding onto the ring for weeks looking for the “right” moment and when we decided to take a day to visit he thought “this is it!” :)”
Sooo adorable! Congrats to Tasha and Joe! It was such an honor documenting it all for you guys! Cheers and I wish you both nothing but happiness!
