I’m known for capturing those didn’t-know-you-were-there shots and busting a move on the dance floor just to get those perfect candids. I also work with you to ensure we incorporate your style and story into your engagement and wedding photos!
Nina and Marco had a stunning Orcas Island wedding over the weekend with blush and tan tones, bright florals, and of course, all the island vibes. These two actually got married last year during the pandemic because they simply couldn’t wait any more, so for their big wedding here, they renewed their vows in front of all their guests and family. It was such a blast getting to explore of Orcas Island and documenting these two getting married again. Whenever I saw these two smile throughout their day, their entire faces just lit up and they were seriously the brightest smiles I’ve ever seen. So cute!
We started the day off at Nina’s getting ready location, the gorgeous and historic Outlook Inn, then to an AirBnB up on a hillside that overlooked the sound (way too amazing), and then they had their ceremony at Odd Fellows Hall in Eastsound with a beach golden hour bridal portraits to end their amazing day. Also, these two sure know how to dance!
All their details, all their colors, it was all so stunning and such a joy to capture it all for them! Nina looked absolutely like a forest fairy princess and this was the gown she originally picked out for their wedding before the pandemic, so Marco had not seen this gown on her. They had a first look and it was so much fun. I truly loved walking on the beach with these two and see them lit up by the sunset and each other along the way. Too adorable and definitely some of my favorite shots on the beach.
So this is how Marco sealed the deal: “We were living in Philadelphia at the time and wanted to do a weekend getaway. Marco planned for us to go skiing and then stay in a tiny house village. We have always dreamed of living in a tiny house. After a day of epic skiing and a quick trip to a brewery for a drink, we came back to the tiny house to watch Tiny House Nation. As I was changing and yelling at Marco to turn on the TV, I turned to find him looking very serious on the couch. He beckoned me over and asked me if I had had a good day. I said yes. He asked me if I loved our life together. I said yes. He asked me to be his wife. I said of course!”
When asked what their favorite part about being together was, they responded: “Nina: No matter the situation we fill our lives with fun, laughter, and love. Marco is always open to trying new things and I love experiencing new things together. Marco: There’s never a dull moment being around Nina. We’re either jumping into a fun, fresh adventure or enjoying the time we have together between them. She constantly encourages me to grow intellectually and emotionally as we try out new things together.”
Congrats, you guys! Your Orcas Island wedding was beautiful and so much fun to be part of!
