I’m known for capturing those didn’t-know-you-were-there shots and busting a move on the dance floor just to get those perfect candids. I also work with you to ensure we incorporate your style and story into your engagement and wedding photos!
Kailey + Andrew, along with their adorable puppies, had a beautiful Trinity Tree Farm wedding in the heart of Issaquah, WA. Surrounded by growing trees, these two got married on an awesome Thursday afternoon with their close friends and family. Their day was simple but amazing with live music at dinner, drone shots at sunset, their puppies Theodore and Walter running around everywhere, woodsy details, and even dried flowers in the bouquets. All their details were stunning and showed off their love for nature.
I gotta tell you all, these two are the kindest and most hilarious people I’ve ever met. They are so sweet, the way Andrew looked at his bride was swoon-worthy, and Kailey has the sweetest heart, both are super chill and loved just being together. Their puppies could not leave them alone and were always around their parents smiling and kissing them. This was my first time finally getting to shoot at Trinity Tree farm and it was absolutely worth the wait. It’s so gorgeous there and it was such a pleasure to get these two nature lovers in the trees and see them come alive. Absolutely stunning and it was such an honor being their wedding and engagement photographer! One of my favorite parts of the night was when Andrew just scorched the dance floor! He seriously knows how to dance and his wild hair moved with him. So much fun and I can’t wait to see these two again soon 🙂
Alright, so this is how they met: “Kailey- It all started when I decided to move out to Washington to take my first job as a float pharmacist after graduating. I only floated for about 2 weeks when they told me I was going to be placed at the Bonney Lake store for a while. The first day I was so nervous heading into work and instantly felt even more nervous when I showed up and saw Andrew as he was working as a technician. I remember calling Kirsten (one of my bridesmaids) on my drive home from work and gushing about how cute and nice he was. As the days went on I started warming up to the job and talking a lot more. That is when Andrew started poking fun at my midwestern accent and I immediately fell for him. The next few months consisted of planning dates far away from the pharmacy, Andrew writing notes and hiding them in my white coat pocket, and him getting me to love the great outdoors.”
And this is how the proposal(s) went down: “Andrew’s first proposal attempt was a fail. He planned a beautiful weekend at an Airbnb outside of Mount Rainer. We took the dogs on an evening stroll along a riverbank where he said we should set up the tripod and get a family picture at sunset. Unfortunately, Theodore decided to try to pick up a branch that had thorns on it and got one lodged in his gums. Moment ruined. At the time I had no idea that his plans were to propose. A few weeks later we decided to head on a hike and headed up into the mountains in search of some abandoned gold mines. By the time we got to the top, I was dying because he forgot to tell me the last part of the hike was straight up (imagine me having to scramble up using my hands to stabilize). After catching my breath and taking in the view he asked, “what is the one thing you want most right now?”, with my answer being a blackberry malt. Mind you I didn’t know an engagement ring was an option! But boy was I wrong and he was correct, being engaged was the thing I wanted most. I practically ran the whole way back so I could have service to call everyone.”
I’m so excited to share with you all their beautiful summer wedding at Trinity Tree Farm below. Cheers and congrats to Kailey + Andrew!
