Winter Gold Creek Pond Engagement

Gold Creek Pond, Snoqualmie Pass, WA

Shari and Jon had a stunning Winter Gold Creek Pond Engagement session in the foothills of the Snoqualmie Pass. After come crazy weather the mountains got this winter, we finally found a weekend that was sunny, gorgeous, and on a holiday weekend! I had the same thought- ‘but wait, isn’t it going to be super crowded?’ Nope! It was perfect with only a few people around, even less as the sun went down, and we basically had the place to ourselves. We adventured all around the lake together listening to EDM and chatting about their wedding day plans. Shari and Jon are so cute together and I love how they just embraced dancing along the shores of Gold Creek Pond, got me hooked on all kinds of EDM music, and were such troopers going through the feet and feet of snow!

One thing they don’t tell you about hiking into Gold Creek Pond in the winter: They close the start of the turn off, due to crazy amounts of snow, and you have to hike back into the parking lot area, then into the lake, for like 20-30 min of soft, wet snow! Don’t get me wrong, it was totally worth it, but damn by legs were sore the next two days haha We also continued the workout through to my favorite side of the lake, played with Dobby, and then walked back to the main view at golden hour/ blue hour.

It was such a stunning day and it was such a blast hanging out with Shari and Jon for their engagement session! I love their smiles together and how fun it was getting to know them! I am also trying to hand out with video, so here is also a little highlight video from their session 🙂 Yeah, they got the full Sarah Jane experience with lanterns, Dobby, and video! haha
