I’m known for capturing those didn’t-know-you-were-there shots and busting a move on the dance floor just to get those perfect candids. I also work with you to ensure we incorporate your style and story into your engagement and wedding photos!
Kassandra and Wayne had a super awesome goth-themed Black Diamond Gardens Wedding in Black Diamond, WA and it was totally epic. With their wedding date Friday the 13th, and their love for skeletons and goth style, they had a truly unique and amazing day. Kassandra made every single table centerpiece, she walked down the aisle to Star Wars’ “Imperial March”, Wayne walked down to Tina Turner’s “The Best” while handing out white roses to everyone in the crowd, and basically all their friends and family in attendance wore black. It was so cool! I’ve never seen a more cool wedding day and everyone there was truly amazing and sweet.
Kassandra looked like Marylyn Monroe with her vintage blonde curls, and Wayne was totally rocking his white suit jacket. You’ll notice in their gallery below, there are quite a few coffin shaped decorations around their wedding, and one of the guests at the wedding said to me, “it wouldn’t be Kassandra’s wedding without coffin-shaped things”. There was a coffin-shaped bar menu, coffin figures all around the tables, and even their altar was in a coffin shape. Totally on theme for the day and I love all the personalized things they created to make it their own special day.
Alright, here is how these two met: “We met at Re-Bar in Seattle, Washington, actually Wayne’s Groomslady and near and dear friend, Brenda introduced us- admittedly we first started to see each other as friends and then after a few short months we were official and a little more after that we moved in together.”
And this is how their proposal went down: “I decided to propose to Wayne on Valentine’s Day of 2021- to be honest I had been planning on doing it since October of that year but was too nervous and was trying to figure out the perfect time- it was a very simple Proposal though- we spent the evening together with a game, cocktails, and snacks and I wound up giving him a very simple band (that has since been misplaced, whoops, it’s okay I misplaced the ring I got myself too) and a letter.”
Wayne and Kassandra are so cool and unique and it was such a blast capturing all their moments together. Even out at the docks, you know I have to get Dobby the Drone out, so we got some fun boat shots together, too! Such a fun day and a huge congrats to the newlyweds! Cheers!
