Kuinka + Babes in Canyon at the Spanish Ballroom

If you haven’t heard by now, I photograph concerts on my days off 😉 This Seattle Concert: Kuinka and Babes in Canyon at the Spanish Ballroom in downtown Tacoma. Guys, this show was epic! I’ve photographed Kuinka before out in Bellingham, WA (which was also epic) but this was something different. Kuinka had a ton of people come out for them, singing along, dancing to every song, it was electric. Babes in Canyon were also incredible opening for Kuinka and are also their sister band with the lead singer also singing and plays guitar in Kuinka.

This was my first time at The Spanish Ballroom in downtown Tacoma and it was perfect. The balcony, the lighting, the helpful staff, everything about it was amazing and I can’t wait to shoot more shows there again! I was one happy creative capturing all the magic due to the best lighting team I’ve never met. Seriously- I can’t say enough good things about the lighting here.

Anyway! Kuinka performs so alive with their folk music and pulls you in like one giant hug. Babes in Canyon had this electronic vibe that captured your soul and made your feet stomp to the beat to every song. This combination was amazing and so sweet- I didn’t want this evening to end!
