I’m known for capturing those didn’t-know-you-were-there shots and busting a move on the dance floor just to get those perfect candids. I also work with you to ensure we incorporate your style and story into your engagement and wedding photos!
Introducing Mr. + Mrs. Kuhn!! Oh my goodness, Madison and Dain had such a stunning and gorgeous backyard wedding at Dain’s grandparents home in Selah, WA. Their original wedding venue in town cancelled on them due to the restrictions of the COVID-19 pandemic so they had to get creative and change their plans. Well, the grandparents and parents offered their backyard and giant property for their wedding day; which ending up being amazingly perfect. They worked their butts off on the landscaping and making sure everything looked great for the adorable couple. With the flowers, mowed lawn, and the views overlooking the Selah valley, it was perfect.
With vintage dusty rose florals, these two exchanged their vows overlooking the valley and surrounded by their closest friends and family. Everyone looked absolutely amazing and it was just so incredible to witness! The bridesmaids wore a pink blush-colored gown and the boys in gray. The perfect summer backyard wedding for sure. My favorite part was during the toasts and I’ll tell you why! So Dain, the groom, his dad had passed away when he was in the 9th grade, but he left behind a little tape recording of his dad talking. The best man, his brother Peter, decided to play the tape during his best man speech and on the tape had some cherishing advice about love and life. I’ve never cried during a best man speech, but that one got me good! It was so moving and touching!
Also, how adorable is it that Madison and Dain are high school sweethearts!!! Here is how they met in their own words: “Dain and I met our sophomore year of high school. My best friend at the time was interested in dating Dain’s best friend. I asked Dain to sophomore year tolo as a way to help my best friend’s date with Dain’s best friend less awkward. We had an instant connection but I wasn’t too sure. Throughout the rest of high school, Dain asked me out multiple times, asked me to dances, and continued to pursue me. I would tell him I didn’t want to date, but we remained friends. After we graduated, I decided that I loved our friendship and maybe in a way that is a little more than friends, and I was starting to see myself with him forever. So I told him to kiss me and we have been together ever since!”
This is how the proposal went down: “Dain came to my house to open gifts on Christmas morning. We exchanged all the gifts and we were sitting around with my mom, dad, and sister. He said he had one more gift for me and got down on one knee and pulled out a beautiful ring!”
Their favorite part about being together is…”I love how we were connected as friends before dating, so he truly is and will always be my best friend for life.”
I’m truly so excited to share with you all Madison and Dain’s Stunning Backyard Wedding Day here.
