I’m known for capturing those didn’t-know-you-were-there shots and busting a move on the dance floor just to get those perfect candids. I also work with you to ensure we incorporate your style and story into your engagement and wedding photos!
Morgan and Gavin had an earthy Lairmont Manor wedding in Bellingham, Washington filled with blooming colorful flowers, herb-labeled tables for their guests, and all the great food! I always love shooting at the Lairmont Manor as well as being in the gorgeous city of Bellingham, but what I love even more is seeing how each couple makes this stunning haunted venue their own. Morgan and Gavin love nature, Gavin especially couldn’t stop admiring all the flowers and plants in bloom around the property, and what’s even cooler is that they didn’t have normal table numbers for their guests to find their seats, they put different herbs for each table!
It was so fun documenting their stunning day around the manor and it was even more fun seeing all their friends dance with them and having a great time. These two are so down to earth, love their tribe, and are even more excited to marry each other. Throughout their day, their wedding party and guests made them do the ‘Ice challenge’ and they surprised them with an alcoholic beverage making them kneel and chug the whole bottle. This happened on several occasions haha
Their elegant style mixed with earth’s elements really brought out their style and what they love most. Which, in my opinion, is what your wedding should be all about! It was such a blast being their photographer and I can’t wait to share with you all their wedding gallery below!
This is how they met: “We met in college in a conversational Spanish class. Gavin asked me to lunch one day after class, but I didn’t have my wallet with me so – not wanting to assume he’d pay – I declined. He actually ended up dropping the class, but I was able to track him down through mutual friends and Facebook – and thank goodness I did!”
And this is how their proposal went down: “We were in Dubrovnik, Croatia and Gavin suggested taking a sunset walk before dinner. He seemed nervous and kept patting his front pocket, so I had an inkling it might be coming. But we grabbed a Kir Royale at one of the seaside bars and watched the sun set. After we were finished we walked out on the pier, and Gavin told me he loved me and wanted to keep adventuring together for the rest of our lives.”

A sweet note from Morgan + Gavin:
Sarah was amazing to work with from start to finish. She’s extremely talented, responsive, flexible, and has an amazing attitude and personality. Like a lot of people, we had to cancel our 2020 wedding and of all our vendors Sarah was the only one I never felt I had to worry about. She is fantastic at helping you get comfortable in front of the camera, and even got some great ones of my now husband (who is not at all comfortable taking photos). I knew I wanted to work with her from our first phone call and am SO glad I did.”
