I’m known for capturing those didn’t-know-you-were-there shots and busting a move on the dance floor just to get those perfect candids. I also work with you to ensure we incorporate your style and story into your engagement and wedding photos!
Eloping at Mt. Rainier National Park means letting nature write part of your wedding day, and for Alicia and Brandon, it certainly had a lot to say.
They traveled all the way from Florida to Washington to celebrate with their closest friends and family, choosing one of the most beautiful places in the Pacific Northwest for an intimate wedding experience.
The afternoon began with a first look and portraits around Paradise before making our way through the park. The weather kept changing by the minute. Sunshine turned into rain, rain became fog and mist, then the wind joined in. For just a brief moment, the clouds parted and Mt. Rainier made an appearance before disappearing again. It was classic Pacific Northwest.
One of the sweetest parts of the day happened when the rain really settled in. Alicia and Brandon had packed matching clear ponchos ahead of time, and instead of waiting it out, they slipped them on and kept exploring. It made for some of the most fun and genuine moments of the afternoon.
After portraits, everyone gathered at Altimeter Cabins & Event Venue for their ceremony and mini reception. Surrounded by family, they exchanged vows before celebrating over tamales and plenty of time together. The day never felt rushed. It was simple, intentional, and centered around exactly what they wanted.
Before the wedding, Alicia and Brandon shared that their biggest priority was spending plenty of time together in Mt. Rainier National Park before documenting family portraits and their ceremony. They also requested mostly color photographs to reflect the vibrant landscape around them.
Rain, fog, sunshine, and a quick appearance from the mountain all became part of their story. It was the kind of wedding day that reminds you why no two Mt. Rainier elopements are ever the same.
