I’m known for capturing those didn’t-know-you-were-there shots and busting a move on the dance floor just to get those perfect candids. I also work with you to ensure we incorporate your style and story into your engagement and wedding photos!
A Sequim backyard wedding is the perfect way to embrace everything summer in the Pacific Northwest has to offer, and Eva and Carter’s day was exactly that.
Eva and Carter got married at Eva’s grandparents’ AirBnB in the gorgeous area of Sequim, WA and it was so magical! From getting ready in the barn to celebrating outside with the mountains surrounding them, every part of the property made the day feel personal and unforgettable.
After Washington’s recent stretch of hot weather, the sunshine stayed with us all day before a cool breeze rolled in during the afternoon. It couldn’t have arrived at a better time, making the outdoor ceremony and reception even more enjoyable for everyone.
One of my favorite details about these two is how simple life together already is. They love spending time in nature, grabbing coffee, learning about just about anything, and they’re excited for everything the future holds as they begin building a family together.
The day was literally packed with photo ops and smiles, and hugs. Eva’s smile was so bright and shone all day! Everywhere you looked there was another sweet interaction, another laugh, or another excuse to grab the camera.
One of the most memorable moments of the entire wedding happened just before the reception began. They had a private first dance before everyone came into the reception tent and then had ANOTHER first dance that they learned themselves the night before for everyone to see. It was such a fun surprise for their guests and such a unique way to kick off the evening.
As the reception continued, guests enjoyed cake, soaked up the beautiful weather, and celebrated well into the evening. Then, just before the day came to a close, the clouds cleared and gave us the prettiest summer sunset for one last round of portraits.
Eva and Carter ended their wedding day by driving away in a classic Mini Cooper, the perfect ending to an absolutely beautiful Sequim backyard wedding.
