I’m known for capturing those didn’t-know-you-were-there shots and busting a move on the dance floor just to get those perfect candids. I also work with you to ensure we incorporate your style and story into your engagement and wedding photos!
Sam and Steph had a stunning summer Mountain Springs Lodge Wedding on the outer edge of Leavenworth, WA. And it was incredible! These two had one of the hottest wedding days on record but they were surrounded by gorgeous mountains, frees, meadows, and all their amazing friends and family. These guests and their wedding party were some of my favorite people to hang out with and it just shows how awesome Sam and Steph are as well!
This was my first time shooting a wedding at Mountain Springs Lodge and it was awesome! The venue is very spread out so it was hard to walk everywhere in 90 degree heat, but it was a gorgeous walk. We luckily were able to snag a four-wheeler cart to take us out into the field for their epic mountainous golden hour photos, so that was awesome!! They had such a special day filled with emotional toasts, silly stories, epic dance moves, and beautiful mountain details. Steph looked absolutely phenomenal in her gown and the whole wedding party were rocking it!
Sam and Steph had one of my favorite weddings and I’m so excited to share it with you all!
Here is how their proposal went down: “We were meant to take an epic trip to Peru to explore the wonders of the world, but thanks to covid we had to cancel out trip and improvise what our summer vacation was going to be. Limited to travel in the US, we decided on Southern Utah; an other-worldly place where the outdoor adventures are endless. One of our stops was Escalante. An area known for deep slot canyons, bright stars, big moons, tremendous desert landscapes, and decibel readings that are among the lowest in America. There is a well known area called Peek-a-boo and Spooky gulch that we decided was a must-visit. During the hike you experience narrow slot canyons that force you to suck up your gut to fit through the tight spaces. Sam had planned on proposing in the canyon, not considering that it was impossible to get on a knee due to the limited real estate on the canyon floor. So he opted to wait until we made our way out of the canyon and asked if we could take a break (something he has never done in history). Steph knew something was off and the cover was blown. Regardless, he dropped down and popped the question dripping sweat in 90+ degree heat – talk about romantic! The rest is history!”
Favorite part about being together: “We gel. There is something beautiful about each day, regardless of the events and activities that take place. We laugh, talk (probably too much), and love each other with everything we got!”
I love that so much, ‘we gel’. Swoon!
