I’m known for capturing those didn’t-know-you-were-there shots and busting a move on the dance floor just to get those perfect candids. I also work with you to ensure we incorporate your style and story into your engagement and wedding photos!
Heidi and Cody had a gorgeous Mt. Rainier Elopement at the Altimeter Cabin and Events venue located in Ashford, WA. It was GORGEOUS! Heidi made all the florals (yes all of them) and their boho vibes were all over the place. Their styled table in the reception area was stunningly styled by Heidi, the bride, and all the mountain-inspired details made their elopement even more special. They kept everything simple and beautiful with only 20 guests, a great dinner, and cake. They absolutely fell in love with this new venue and I can see why! We had a rustic truck, a vintage darling trailer, the cabin they stayed at, a tee-pee, and of course all the forest and ferns everywhere. Basically my dream venue!
We started the day capturing all their details around the Altimeter Cabin, then we headed up to Paradise along the Longmire road to get the mountain. Rainier was out in full force that day to show off a little. We went to two outlooks and it was so perfect. We then headed back to the venue to get ready for their sun-kissed ceremony. We did portraits all around this awesome venue till we hit every spot. It was absolutely stunning! Popping champagne and then ended with an intimate dinner under candlelight. Too cute and uniquely their own. I also firmly believe that Heidi should totally become a florist after this because the work she did was incredible and I can’t believe she’s not a professional florist. Do you agree?! SOOO Good! Their daughter, Timber, was also the cutest thing ever in her flower crown and I love the shot I got of her watching her parents get married- too special.
This is how Heidi and Cody met: “Cody and I met when we were kids, him and my brother were best friends throughout middle school but we never really had a connection at that point, he was just one of my brothers many friends that I saw every now and then. As we got older my brother and mom always said that Cody and I should be together, but neither of us ever gave much consideration to the idea. Our paths began to cross more and we got to know each other better when he and my brother started working together. Shortly after, my brother and Cody both moved to Boise ID, definitely terrible timing but after visiting for a week, I knew I wanted to be with him, despite the 5.5 hour drive from Yakima to Boise. We traveled back and forth to see each other and quickly fell in love, soon after we had our daughter and have been rock solid ever since.”
And this is how their proposal went down: “Towards the end of summer 2020 we took a family trip. After 3 amazing days of camping and hiking at Mt. Rainier, we went to crystal mountain resort and took the gondola to the summit for dinner. While appreciating the incredible view, Cody got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. It literally took my breath away. Of course I began to cry and our daughter, who was 5 at the time, didn’t really understand what was happening and looked at Cody and said “Dad! Why did you make Mom cry!” 😂 It was a complete surprise and such an unforgettable and amazing moment in my life.”
Overall a super stunning wedding day! Let’s do it all over again haha (just kidding but seriously). Congrats to Cody and Heidi!!
